The rails are different. Trail stock rails are a little taller than the sr5/limited. You'll be taking those off to install the new rack so the height would be the same.
The rack is 3" front light bar goes to 4.5" for the stealth

Did your rack come pre-wired? My rack just came in (FINALY) but there is no wiring on the rack at all.

Hope this makes sense but...
Maybe Ride can answer since he is the gobi expert here... But has anyone tried or have you ever seen anyone mod the front fairing on the gobi so that it covers the top tubular Bar/ light bar ? Hope that makes sense... Making the fairing taller, then cutting holes in the fairing where the ridge lights shine through,so they are flush with the fairing so it's one solid piece that looks cleaner?

They would have to make you a longer fairing for it to reach that high. Here is some pictures of Ducmonsta's truck (stolen from his build) of the fairing raised to cover the top tubular bar. He then put his 40"SR under the fairing for a different look.

My Gobi rack, ladder and struts showed up yesterday, VERY excited :banana: Thanks for putting up with me Mark!! :bravo: The rack is awesome and well worth the wait!

For other search reference, it looks exactly like the logo they had on the late 90's Land Cruisers (95-99 or so I'm not well versed in the FJ model numbers or anything). Just wanted to pass along in case others are looking for part numbers and want to get it through Toyota.

Got the Stealth mounted today :reddance: This rack is stout! Very well made!
If you're in the market for a top quality rack and you are willing to wait for it then I highly recommend this rack! Very high quality, very well thought out and made in the USA. It's to bad Gobi's customer service sucks so bad or they'd have a monopoly on the rack market.

QJake- I'm so happy that it all worked out. The truck looks proper with that rack setup. It has definitely come a long way.
BTW- It seams like Gobi has caught up on the major rush of orders placed before Summer started. The past 3 rack orders I have placed with them have been pretty fast. They still say to give them 6 weeks for production on a stock rack with no modifications. My past few customers have been getting theirs in 4-5 weeks.

I posted these in my build thread but some may have not seen it. Here are some pics from a few months back of my Gobi Rack and 4R fully stacked. I don't think i've seen any rack this full on a 5th gen. This is the gear for 6 adults and 1 dog for 5 days of camping. We drove a total of 320 miles with it like this and nothing up there ever moved. The truck and rack handled everything perfectly.
The Gobi rack is easily the best mod i've got on the truck.
