I have for sale a complete Subaru gauge pack/field monitor unit (FMU), which reads and displays compass headings (the cardinal directions, which you can calibrate and adjust for magnetic or true north), ambient air temperature (in °F) and barometric pressure (inches of mercury, which it also converts to elevation/ASL). The Subaru FMU also features two (2) brightness level adjustment Off feature.
The Subaru FMU is virtually identical to the Hilux Surf FMU which displays ASL rather than inches of mercury, and temperature in °C rather than °F. Mine comes with the Subaru FMU itself with original center dash pod (as it was installed in Impreza, Outback and Forester), a wiring harness H5010FC040 with seven (7) wires {see below}, and a thermosensor H5010FC021; the only thing missing is the factory OEM thermosensor mounting kit H5010FC031, but you don't necessarily need that to mount the outside temperature probe {see below}.

this wiring harness (9-pin connector) has seven (7) wires for easy installation as follows (I've already done all the homework for you):
1) blue/red: + battery / constant power +12VDC
2) -
3) black: ground
4) yellow/green: accessory/ignition (switched power)
5) purple: illumination (+)
6) blue: speed
7) white: temperature (+)
8) -
9) brown: temperature (-)
* purple (illumination) wire = tap into solid green wire from dash clock, or alternatively tap into wire for the dash light dimmer knob
* blue (speed) wire = tap into gray/blue stripe wire in V18 plug in slot #17 on the rear of the ABS module behind the passenger kick panel ('96-'98); Toyota relocated the ABS module on '99-'02 models to the driver side
* white and brown (temp +/-) = pass both wires through the driver side firewall grommet to the backside of the front bumper, near the left front headlight, below the radiator
You can easily install this single DIN unit mounted underneath (or even above) your single DIN head unit; when you remove the original stereo, retain both mounting brackets on the left and right, so when you place the single DIN head unit on top of the Subaru FMU, those brackets will line up perfectly; then simply use the same screws to mount the brackets to the head unit and FMU together before inserting the entire package back into your center dash:
