Lift and Tire Central (pics)... Post 'em Up!

I'm pretty sure you need some sort of lift back there, but I'm not 100%. You could try FJ coils or a small spacer lift after trying the tires. I think when I had my 33's with the rear lifted 1.5" I was just barely fine. Front I had to lose the mud flaps and pull the liner forward a little.

Sounds good, thanks t-man. I'll post pictures after its all said and done!

Same exact situation here, man. Except I'm in GA. Got mine last night. Gotta get some tires ASAP.

Want all terrain or mud terrain? Going to lift? I've got a set of 255/70/18 LTX MS2s if you just want to get rolling, they're 32.1''(I'm a little north of ATL).

Yeah probably a leveling kit, and then later down the line the bilsteins. Im still learning about suspensions so im not quite sure which way to go. Dont want a huge lift just 2 inches.

This is what I'm doing.

Waiting for FJ springs and will add trim spacers to bring it all up to 2/1. Hopefully will be ready to install everything next weekend.

Damn dude. On a scale of 1 to a case of Rip It's to stay awake, how boring is it over there? At least you've got plenty or deployment money saved up right?

hahahahaha life sucks here now this is my 4th trip to this place and now....no ****ing Rip-Its...WTF????? But its not too boring right now considering who I'm deployed with. Things are escalating here rapidly and yes, by the time i get back ill have enough to be debt free new chassis and scope for my remington 700 and lift and tires for the T4R....I'm pretty stoked about all that.

Definitely have to do ATs and will put a lift on it. I think I've settled on the BFG KO2s but really have no idea where I'm going with the suspension. Plan to run it stock on some easy trails to start figuring out what I need. Have you run Tray Mountain?

This is 5100s on the 2.5" setting and stock coils springs up front and ToyTec 2.0 coils and 5100s in the rear. The tires are 255/80/17 BFG KM2s and I couldn't be happier with this tire size. I am EXTREMELY happy with the lift/tire combo. Had a little rubbing up front, but luckily it was just on the mudflaps, so I removed them and it hasn't rubbed since! It's perfect!

So just to confirm...with the toytec ultimate I could fit 255/80/17s on an OEM 17" wheel?

3" spacer in the front 2.5" in the rear with 285/75r16 Duratracs on 16" rock crawling rims with 2" back spacing. Looking into getting some Tundra or FJ springs with 5100 shocks in the front since it's a bit soft.

Yes I rub.. Mostly while backing up.

Like that tire size, which ones are they?

Also, noticed you are also in Seattle. Any good trails?

Just got this a month and a half ago or so...03 limited v8 did RAS conversion in rear with moog coils, moog coils in front and 3" toytec spacer lift. Haven't got the new wheels mounted up yet just got em back from powdercoat. Will post a pic when I get em on..

Liking that Sequoia wheel in powdercoat, but I have never seen a wheel weight that looked like a puppy nose, but I would go with it.

:-)

Lol! Yes that's custom! My boxer is very curious he appears in most pics I take. Lol. I'm digging the wheels too can't wait to get em mounted up

I've got 255/75/17 Cooper AT3's, and I really like them as do most that have them. Perfect for the 95% pavement 5% trails that I'm doing now, I didnt see much of any change in MPG from stockers.

Next year I wont have to commute for work any more and I anticipate picking up some larger MT's, probably Cooper again.

I haven't done too much in the area, living in Seattle proper means a big time commitment to get anywhere too fun. Tahuya is good for testing your rig, but isnt scenic in any way and is pretty busy on the weekend. I did fortune creek outside of cle elum a few weekends ago and had a blast. I was lucky enough to go with someone who knew the area though, i would have been terribly lost without a GPS on all the trails out there.

Hmm, I"ll have to check it out in the next couple weeks hopefully. New to the whole offroading thing ;)

I tacoed my front skid plate on fortune creek (being dumb and going too fast) and bent one of my sidestep supports on tayuha (bad line and inexperienced spotter) but im planning on doing a bunch more in the area in the next year. I'm super busy with work right now but it should get better next year. I'm always up for a 4R run if we can find some peeps to go.

Check out Washington Trails

Finally upgraded my daystar 2.5/1.5 spacers and replaced the xreas with the Icon stage II. Has been 3+ years since I have upgraded anything. I must say, the difference in lift is more noticeable than I thought it was going to be.
