What year is the camero down below?

How is the vinyl holding up on the top of the vehicle? I am debating whether or not I should do this before I put my GOBI rack on.

Hurry up with the front end swap, I can't wait to see the upgrade.

Thank you very much for the compliments on the garage. It seems every couple years I go a different direction the garage. This one is more about function as I am going to take a break on building cars till my daughters are out of college.

The Camaro on the ground is a 70 ( 2nd Chance Camaro | 1970 Budget Build ) you can see plenty of build pics at the link. The build plan was to do the car is 4 or 5 phase's. 1st phase was to build a cool with "satin or slightly patina'd paint" so I could drive it. The following 3/4 phase are to update the car each winter finally ending up with a really nice car.

As for the front end swap I only have a few pieces left to order and I will hopefully order them tomorrow. I am also considering doing the rear cover at the same time. Figure might as well do it all at once.

The vinyl on the roof was one of the best mods I have done. I no longer have to worry about the stuff falling off my bike post ride and staining the paint. I highly recommend this to anyone with a roof rack.

I like it. I swapped exhaust a week or 2 into ownership.

The drone from the factory muffler is gone and now you just get a nice v6 tone from the back of the car. No lie, the cabin is significantly quieter. From the back, it has a nice purr that does get moderately loud as the RPMs come up, however normal driving/highway its rather silent.

I'm happy with it. Installation was easy once you get the rear of the truck up into the air and remove the spare tire. There is a slight interference with the tip which is highly talked about. I found using one of the side holes on the hanger was able to straighten it out without issue though.

I did all of this so I can have the 3rd Row, Heat & Cooled Seats, JBL Stereo, Keyless Entry & Exit, Sunroof and what ever else they added to the limited.



ps I am looking at possible swapping to the Trail Front Cover but that is not happening anytime soon.

I am pretty much copying what Magnetic4R did with his conversion. You can see he did both front and rear on the truck.

Okay so I have done a boat load of research and I am about to pull the trigger on the complete front & rear bumper swap including the TRD parts.

I am down to the last two part numbers I think which inner fender liner do i need to order. My limited currently has the xres on it (for now) and I have tow choices with the inner fenders. With or Without Dynamic Suspension. My assumption is they are talking about the KDSS suspension.

Thank you very much. Placing the order for a boat load of parts including a 20" Rigid LED light. Can't wait for this conversion to be complete.

The guys at X-Treme Graphics blacked out a little more of the chrome today.

Door handles and window trim. I also had them remove the chrome limited off the side of the truck.

I also picked up a TRD Pro suspension from Joe at ChiTown 4x4. The plan is to install it on the 24th or 25th.

Okay guys I need a little help here.

My truck is a 2015 Limited with XREAS and I will be swapping it out for a TRD Pro Suspension (bought used cheep) next week and I was wondering if there is anything we should know before we remove the XRES.

I am confident someone here has done this.

5th Gens don't have XREAS they have KDSS. And you don't need to remove it to install aftermarket suspension. I have KDSS and ICONs and it works great

maybe I'm missing something but my 2012 Ltd had XREAS and I ended up gutting the entire XREAS system for my Icon setup....
 
Yep, Mine has XREAS on it and just want to make sure the body roll issue isn't going to be a big deal as I will be letting my 16 daughter drive the truck occasionally.

It's the truck or my 600hp Camaro and I feel the truck is a much better idea.
