Are you trying to preserve the closed system, or just a total gut job and in the trash? There is a specific way to remove it all to preserve it. I'll try to find the link. There's as pic of which nut to loosen.

Plan to save it just in case. Doubt I would go back but you never know.

So last weekend I dropped my Daughter off at U of I and if I drove 35 minutes further I would be able to check off another really cool trail that I wanted to ride.
The name of the Trail Network is called Kickapoo and it's in Danville Illinois. I will say whomever designed this trail did a fantastic job and I only wish it was closer as I would ride it more often.
Some people see this as a log That you need to go around I see it as an something that must be ridden on.
The trail had plenty of ups and downs.
Since I was riding solo he was a welcome sight.
So I did my average mpg cruising at 77 for a majority of the ride. I was pretty happy.

It's been a long time coming and it's finally getting closer.
I picked up a front cover from a fellow member and I stripped all the parts off that I needed.
Then it was time to install the behind the grille brackets I received from Brad. I ordered a 20" Rigid light from the guys at Chi-Town 4x4. Super easy to work with and plan to spend more with them.
Centering the light was fairly easy using this method.
Since I tend to lean on overkill so I added a nut to the bottom of the light brackets instead of just tapping the bumper.
I also found a place to store the cargo mat.

The guys pre-painted the bumper before I dropped the truck off and they mocked up all of the parts on the stand to see if I still wanted to do the swap.
Lets not tell my wife what this little part cost.
Moving to the rear bumper Ron had to modify it a little for the rear sensors.
He did a nice job tucking in everything nice and tight.
Sorry for the crappy cell phone pics but I wanted to have a few on my phone.
When we mounted up the front cover we noticed that the light was touching the grille so off with the front cover so we can move it back just a little.
Ron re-drilled the brackets and moved them back about a 1/4"
Not done yet still missing a few pieces.
There are 2 pieces behind each rear wheel that I missed. Just a few more dollars at the dealer and cross our fingers hoping the parts will be in tomorrow.
Note these work on the limited rear cover but not on the trail rear cover. The part I need also doubles as the mud flap.
Lets not tell my wife what this little part cost.

I will post up a detailed list of all of the parts that you need to do the conversion. As of today I missed 6 more parts (2 for the front and 4 in the rear) which may or may not make it to the body shop today.
Hopefully the truck will be complete tomorrow

That's some legit packing, shipping must be a premium.
