How did you find the polarity of the LEDs? I tried using a multimeter and I also dont see any markings.
That was trial by error. Lol. got it backwards the first time.

Thanks! I added the link to the post. I planned on writting a more full write up, but haven't had time yet.techoguy link to the filters? That looks awesome! Nice work!

Here's my LED conversion. I used blue light filters to make the outer ticks blue, to make the LCD screen blue, and painted the needles.
And for the 12v conversion for the center console LCD I just connect the blue LEDs to the "mode" LED socket. I thought they were to bright so I don't have an LED behind the mode btns anymore.

I did the 12v mod for neo4 hp bulbs.
Pretty simple. Separate the positives on the LEDs. Solder wire to them. Run to a 12 volt source. I chose my accessory wire on my head units wiring harness. I used a male/female connector so I could remove it easier.
I originally tapped into the hvac wiring harness but wasn't sure which wire. (Always thought red or yellow was 12v) but I wasn't getting anything. So I moved to the wiring harness where I knew the 12v was coming from. I ended up getting the pos/neg backwards on the led like a dope. So when I had it wired it wasn't doing anything. Swapped the sides of the LEDs and viola.
In hindsight, a Multi meter would of probably helped.
Here's my LED conversion.
Here's a look at what I did to make the LCD LEDs 12v and dimmable:
I ordered some from the warden_jp guy but still haven't received them and it's been about a week and a half. Did it take a while to get yours when you ordered them?

Have the switches out for the rear window and center lock and bulbs in hand.
Am sure the answer is simple but I can not figure out how to get the bulbs out.
Have read all the posts I can find.
Since the bulbs are on the underside of the switches they are locked in there and have tried twisting ,pulling and pushing the bulbs.
Any info as to how to remove the bulbs would be appreciated.
Thanks

You should be able to use a flat head to twist it about a quarter to half turn then they fall out. You may have to use some needle nose pliers to pull them out but it shouldn't be hard (don't pull to hard)Have the switches out for the rear window and center lock and bulbs in hand.

Probably not because the LEDs are only outputting the orange color. So if you try to use say a blue filter which only allows blue to pass through it, the orange LEDs don't give off blue to pass through. But I haven't tried and I don't know the specific wavelengths the LEDs produce. If you use a red filter it may work. it would be easy enough to test it.Do you think I could use a filter over the OEM orange LEDs and it come out looking similar to yours? I may have to play around with this as its alot less involved than changing out LEDs.
Ye, Had twisted them but they would not fall out...use some needle nose pliers to pull them out
They are the 6v ones just like stock. no mod needed

taking the plunge with replacing my LCD and cluster panel burnt out lights with the LEDs that you suggested. $16 bucks for:
2x for LCD screen
1x for 4x4 switch
3x HVAC back light control
1x rear defrost
1x recirc
1x rest/mode on clock
1x rear window switch
1x for DAC switch
1x for diff lock switch
1x center console shift indicator
1x glove box
1x cup holder
and not having to do the 12v modify sounds like a win
