TRD Limited Fat Bike Hauler v1.1

My inner fenders were definitely different as they didn't line up with the trail front end.

Stephen just did his swap and modified his inner fenders to work. Hopefully he will chime in.

Hey, they are definitely different. Unfortunately, I don't the have the part numbers because I just modded the liner.

It was very simple to mod the liner. The back side of the liner where it protects the engine bay a little is where you have to get a little creative... Again not hard though.

For the liner, I simply installed the bumper and let the LE liner hang. It'll blow your mind how much lower it is! Then I just held it to the bumper and traced a line and cut along it with a razor. The holes on the wheel arch won't line up anymore but just slide the clips to the spot where they should be and screw it back together. The screw will go right through the plastic and hold it snug no problem.

For the back side, you'll have to cut the pieces shorter because they had to go much higher from the front LE lip. I tried to reuse as many factory points as I could but had to get a little creative.

Personally, I just forgot to get the liners and had a free weekend to do the bumper so I just did it. If you're looking to save a couple bucks, you can do it this way and no one will ever know.

Thanks Stephen on providing the modification info, sounds like a time and $$ saver. Accidentally thought you lived in Colorado with Fredrick Co. I'm taking that Co is for county not Colorado

You're welcome, and yeah I'm in MD. I keep forgetting to update that to county. Around here we refer to the county, kinda like jersey refers to their exit. Haha

Thank you! Hoping I come across one soon. Really want to find one already painted as to not have to deal with that. If I find a good enough deal, I might still pull the trigger though. My wife is actually pushing for it haha.

That Trek is going to look pretty damn sharp!! Those fat-tire bikes amaze me still, the ride has to be so smooth over single track like Palos. Good luck with the build!

Finally getting closer to the finish line with this build up or conversion to TRD.

I had the rear Coils are powder coated red to match the front springs and yes I have issue's

Still need to remove the springs so I can clean up the shock body's.

So what's hidden under the springs will drive me crazy.

The crazy part is these shocks only had a few hundred miles on them. However the Chicago salt did a number on them as you can see.

After I cleaned them up.

Next step is to seal them to prevent it from happening again.

They take about two hours to dry and this was the best solution I could come up with.

Not sure yet as the truck is getting an alignment this morning and I will be picking it up around lunch time.
