So I picked up the truck today and I need to say thank you to a couple guys that made this happen. First would be Joe at Chitown4x4.com, Jay at ProTek Powder Coating and Don & Billy at Village Auto and Custom. Without all of these guys the suspension wouldn't be on my truck.
Now let me tell you I am so mad at myself for not installing this suspension when I picked it up from Joe last summer. I can't believe the difference in the ride quality. The ride is much firmer and the truck doesn't roll when making corners. Feels more like my Porsche when it corners then the old school caddy floating down the road.
What I did notice is how much higher the hood feels and I can now understand what everyone talks about sun glare on the hood scoop. When the front was leaning down it wasn't that much of an issue and the good news is that it is pretty cloudy today.
By far this is the best upgrade that I have done thus far to the truck and next will be the wrap on the hood (waiting to see Lawndarts final piece) after that LED driving lights & head lights and the truck will be pretty much done.

I'm surprised to hear that with the TRD Pro suspension setup it corners and handles better than the Limited's XREAS system. I thought the XREAS was suppose to make street handling more firm and stable with less pitch and roll. Good to know when I decide to convert my suspension.
Your ride looks good and an inspiration. In the next couple months I will have a clone of yours but in MGM :cheers:
My ride currently looks like your early mod (your pic below) with the TRD wheels and Black Tube Nerf bars. Slowly getting it de-Limited

It's funny as I though the XREAS was suppose to feel more stable. I think one of the biggest issue is the fact the front drops so much compared to the rear. When you brake hard it sinks even further and when your cornering it definitely dips which I'm fairly certain it's not suppose to do.
What it does do is ride very plush and since the limited is really geared towards the family truckster I am certain the design it for comfort.
So I have about 50 miles since I picked it up and I wanted to do a couple tests to see how similar or different it is from before.
First test was the panic brake test. This is significantly different then the XREAS Suspension. The nose of course starts out much higher and stabbing the brakes at 50mph produce very little drop with new suspension.
Second test was the 25mph left turn. Truck is noticeably flatter through the corner. In other less body roll.
Third test was the steering wheel wiggle test at various speeds. Much tighter feel from 25 to 70.
It just feels like a truck now instead of a mini-van.

I don't have any recent pics besides the day I got it and when I changed over the wheels. I'll create my own thread as soon as the weather starts to get warmer and I'm able to do more modifications.Following your footsteps

It's going to look really sweet when it's complete.
On a side note.
My buddy and I drove to Detroit for the Autorama (614 miles round trip) and I can confirm the truck rides and drives so much
better. More like a truck and less like a mini-van.
Just wish I would have done this sooner.

Looking good, Marty! My 4th Gen had XREAS too, and when I swapped out the suspension, it definitely made a big difference, I totally agree. The new suspension is pretty stiff at slower speeds, but bumps at higher speeds, man it soaks it up. Can't wait to swap the suspension on the 5th gen too. We're running out of warranty on the XREAS pretty soon

Yes, I do and the cool part is it came back from the interior shop yesterday right before the rain and snow flurry's hit. Oh and that ugly salt they put on the road.
I had him remove the old school headliner and install a nice factory style suede version. Very happy with how it looks.
The funny part is you can lean on my paint but don't touch the headliner and yes I need to find a headliner brush.

Thank you and it is Satin Blue from Audi and they used it on the R8 and when I saw it in person I fell in love with it. I wanted a paint job that I didn't have to worry about.
My last project was a little over the top and I ended up selling it because I was worried about the paint and what I would do if I ever scratched it.

I've wanted to find a 15 4Runner limited for weeks and today was the day.
Hard to believe I did all of this to my truck. I couldn't have done this without the help and inspiration of this board.
