Anyone tried the Moog "tall" Springs?

LOL....go figure....I needed this thread months ago while doing my research. I ended up with 880/906 with 4 Runner 5100's. Not saying I hate the ride...but it sucks off road now. I like the ride on smooth pavement....but off road, washboard, pot holes, rocks...it is super bouncy and very "sharp" on the initial hit. I have to slow down noticeably to avoid having to slide/skip around at speed, and avoid the sharp jolts while going slower.

This summer I'm going to crush the rears with weight to find out how much they sag with how much weight. Maybe that will help some.

Saul, are you saying the ACDelco springs are the same springs that Toyota offers for the 99/highlander springs?

When speaking of spending money on OEM vs non OEM. 2009 I went with the
SS1.2 Kit 260k miles now at 360k. has settled 1/2" had winch syn rope whole time. Rear tote 150# all the time settle 3/4", still rides great. Will what your buying last that long? Kinda pay once cry once or pay several times cry several times. I tend to hang on to rides i like bought in 2000.

Just finished my front end refresh which included Bilstein 5100s and Moog 81090 springs. This combo rides much smoother than the worn 178k bits that were in there before. The original struts didn't rebound at all when compressed.

I foolishly didn't take before measurements but its definitely 1-1.5" higher than before. Will get measurements after it settles.

Going to tackle the rear this weekend also with 5100s and Moog 81041s

Lol, Doc has really let himself go lately.

The rear will be taken care of this weekend but for now its Baja stance.

I changed my springs in front 3 times and ended up going with the Moog Tacoma fronts. Have the 81041 rears but judging by the pics I don't think I'm going to like them. I'm interested in finding a heavier spring rate but not such and extreme lift. More to come when I can start my own posts...

Installed my Bilstein 5100's and front & rear moog springs. Ride is very smooth. I really like this setup. Did a rough before and after measurement and with the moog/bilstein setup I gained 1" front and 1.5" rear.

Has anyone used the 81088 front springs, from moog tech part it states they are .31 taller

Eibach, OME, and Toyota springs are the go-to's.

My father has worked for Federal Mogul for over 30 years... I've used MOOG chassis parts on my former Ram 2500 diesel truck and it was 100% better quality than OEM. I have nothing but great things to say about their products. High quality all around.
