Suprareal's Build Thread ( Pic Heavy )

This will be my build thread, adding little by little as i can. Wait i think im done... 4wd conversion might be in future plans though.

1998 2wd Auto 3RZ 4 cylinder ( City DD ) 3.90 stock gearing.

[B][SIZE="4"]CURRENT AS OF MARCH 2013

This is what i came from... 89 Buick Electra V6 FWD and i loved it believe it or not. Wish i still had it. Ran like a champ just looked like it did not.

Here she is when i first layed eyes on the craigslist add in October 2010
Bought it at $3500. 184,000 miles including Full suspension setup in almost new condition and brand new tires.

When i got home i could not stay away from the thing

When i bought the truck i never intended to mod it further than window tint but this site broke my bank and changed my mind.
First thing i did was install my sound system and tinted windows
35% windshield/fronts and 5% limo the rest.

I've always loved black rims so knew i would do that from the beggining.

I then discovered the oil pan gasket was leaking so i replaced all the Gaskets, seals, o-rings, filters you name it, in that area and never had a drip since.

Out of all the parking this guy decided to make me look like a Hot wheel at work, i said awh man what a $#%^, then he came in and i had to make his pizza...

Then i discovered clear corners and blinkers and bought a set on ebay
And fixed the broken antenna by replacing the plastic rod and actual antenna

Before

Clear

Then to translucent black blinkers

The first disaster i encountered happened the first time it rained... i guess i was missing a roof bar bolt and it let water in and filled up the sides of the headliner and somehow dripped and filled a pair of shoes and soaked the rear carpet. i ended up vacuming a equivilent of about 3 water bottles of water out. Still amazed to this day how bad it was.
Here i am airing it out ( smelled horrible for weeks)
You can tell how mad my dog was that this happened to me "AWHH"

cool color. I didn't get where Supra comes from though.

I was looking forward to some twin turbo goodness.

The names something I made of from skateboarding a while back, used it on eBay and other sites so I went ahead and used it here.

I then started liking the look of smoked tails so i did them and plasti-dipped my emblems adding a trd emblem. if your paying attention yes this did come before the tint, i forgot

Replaced the front sway bar bushings with Polyurethane
Changed oil and whatnot around this time also

All of a sudden my paint started oxidizing on the top of the door. Had to fix that quick before it got worse.
I ordered a touch up paint pen from the stealer reduced it with lacuer thinner and shot it through a airbrush, then applied auto clear coat from a can. matched perfect and holds up.

After

I changed the cluster lights and corners to pure white LED's

Wade In-channel window visors front only

I knew i needed more HP so i painted my calipers red and added the high temp TRD decal which hold up extremely well.

I wanted my truck sound deeper than stock but not loud, after alot of research i finally went with the MagnaFlow 18'' welded up to stock pipes. Amazingly it was the exact sound i was looking for and i have never had any problems with it.

Surf185 came to the rescue with a front bumper 100% better than mine and a grille ready for the satoshi mod.
At the same time i added aftermarket glass 99 and up headlights from ebay ( great quality) and some hella 500 flood fogs i got for christmas.

After scanning craigslist for forever i found a set of BFG all terrain 265/75/16's for 50$ right around the corner with Very decent tread. I needed to find 16's for them so i ended up trading my dad for his off his tundra for some other rims and tires i bought for him on craigslist. (chrome sequioa 3 split ) and i painted the black of course.

I was trying to figure out the noise (errrt) that is made from shifting from reverse to drive so i replaced both U-joint's, did not solve the problem but feels smoother after replacing
I went with the best ones from orielly auto parts with zerk fittings of course

I replaced my brake pads before i started modding but i finally got around to matching my shoes, i have wagner thermo quiet on all four's

My dash was coming apart and got worse over time, i was sick of looking at it and ended up buying a whole other dash from Crossroads auto dismantelers AKA where 4runners go to die.

on ebay i have this style eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices i tried a couple different ones and these worked the best. i did use a small piece of foil as a deflector across the front 2 leds just to dim them down a little
