nice info, i usually check the service manual which has most of them in it, but this is a good quick reference. My problem is, that in 1/2 the places where a torque value is specified, you can't even fit a torque wrench in there so i usually just guess.

Good thread.. ought to come in handy! Mind making the different sections bold so they show up better. It's hard to tell where they start and end.

Awesome thread Doc! Torquing is probably one of the most important jobs someone can do aside to repairing and replacing. Good info; good idea to make it a sticky.

Nothing personal taken.
If I may just put my .01 in, and feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but, IIRC the 2/3RZ and 5VZ were in the 95.5-04 model years, which encompases more of the 3rd generation 4Runner and 1st generation Tacoma.
My intent here was to provide a quick reference, rather than having to dig through a thread just to find the torque specs of a particular bolt.
If the mods feel it should be moved into the other thread, then by all means, please do so. I have these on my iPhone in my notes so that I can pull them up anytime, but others might prefer to look at a bigger screen.

I say leave it so when I have oil and gunk all over my hands I don't need to dig to find torque specs. Lol

I really do think this is a great thread so I hope I didn't offend with my suggestion.
It is simply a difference of opinion.

Absolutely not. If I made it seem like that, I apologize. I just wanted to let you know why I thought it should be stickied.

Doc,
Thanks for this super useful sticky. It was annoying having to google this info.
Would it be possible to add fluid/oil amounts and types to this.
IE: Engine, Trany, Diffs etc...
I dont know these things off hand but would be willing to search around to help compile something.
