Dirtyfingers' build thread..
Hey guys I figure that I would start a build thread beings I haven't much to do while I'm on the ship. Over the next couple of years there are going to be some pretty promising mods done to my rig. But for now I'm only going to do from the first day I got it till present.
Current mods done are:
1. Toytech Ultimate lift
2. Audio goodies
3. 315/75/16 vision wheels
4. CB communications
5. TRD Supercharger (SOLD)
6. 1" Body lift
7. Some tires I found on the side of the road
9. URD 7th (SOLD)
11. CBI rear plate bumper with swing out (SOLD)
12. TBU
13. Fueled by the power of rock n' roll
14. 2004 Tundra V8 swap using 4runner T-case
15. ARB bumper
16. lights, lights...and more lights
17. 98’ Tacoma manual hub conversion
18. Soon...
The day I got it back in 2012 was a great deal the guy had it on CL for $6,200. I was able to talk him down to $3,500 because of the paint on the rig was in such bad shape. And because he thought something was terribly wrong with the transmission. So I bought it and drove it home that day. I knew it was a shift solenoid and was an easy fix. So I did that and drove home a 4runner with only 120k miles for under $4k. In the picture is my buddy that helped me talk the guy down.
How it used to look:
As she sits now:

I did put clearance lights on it from a 90s Chevy. I always wanted to do this to my old truck but I sold it. It was a personal preference kinda deal so it's okay if no one likes my idea haha I drive it you don't.

I routed the hoses through a hole in the front end to keep them from moving too much

Finally a pic of the bumper I got from 4xinnovations. The pic is the same friend who helped me get my rig where it is today.

Oh I will, I just have to get back home to Texas and pick it up. Next on the list is a CBI rear bumper. Had my eye on the hybrid for awhile.

I saw them and I had to have them, glad I saw these before I popped on another set of wheels. Best impulse buy ever.

Not really an update, but out of this thread lacking me being able to work on my SiR5, I ordered my rock sliders with the kickouts from @4xinnovations. Adam has been very helpful in answering all my annoying questions haha. I know that right now this is just the "pregaming" part of my build, but when I get back to the states the gloves are off.
