ARB Taco Bumpers on Back Order - Any ideas on how to find one in Texas?

4WheelParts is saying that ARB won't have any new ARB Taco bull bar bumpers (3423020) until late February or early March. Apparently even a few pending orders are on back order.

I'm mounting mine to be compatible with a 1" body lift, so I think it would be better to get a new one rather than a used one with standard mounting holes already drilled.

Any ideas on someone in Texas who may have one in stock? I would prefer to pick it up vs having it shipped. I live in Bryan-College Station.

Thanks... I'll check into it. I have a feeling that although that website shows availability they probably get the bumpers from the same suppliers and they will end up being on back order as well.

I was hoping to pick one up for between $750 and $800. "Free shipping" usually means that the shipping cost is already added to the online price.

You mentioned you were going to get one from 4 Wheel Parts. They're the same price as the link I sent you. That's a pretty standard price on those bumpers.
 
british 4x4 in san Antonio is an arb dealer and will order anything arb and beat any prices, I was gonna order from them but one popped up on craigslist for 400 bucks!!
 
Thanks for the responses. Autoplicity and Bristish 4x4 had no luck locating one. Apparently most of these sellers buy from the same distributors/warehouses. I probably need to find one someone happens to have in stock or buy a used ARB.

I want to buy an ARB 3423020 this weekend (Jan 24/25 2014) to pick up in central Texas. The bumper can be new or used, but it will be adapted for a 1" body lift, so a used bumper can't be altered in a way that would keep me from mounting it to my 4Runner with the 1" body lift.

I spoke to Keith at Autoplicity Friday afternoon. They actually had a total of 3 Taco ARB bumpers spread around the country in 3 different warehouses. One sold to someone before the weekend, I bought the one that was in Kentucky, and as of now one is still available in one of their west coast warehouses. This is the good news. The bad news is there is no flexibility on the shipping cost from these particular warehouses. The grand total on mine was $1,050 and will be delivered to College Station Tuesday or Wednesday.

I tried to find one over the weekend in central Texas, but I had no luck. I would have preferred to wait until one was available at a Houston-area 4WheelParts store for me to pick up at around $850 (or less), but it makes me nervous that these are in such demand and on back order for an indefinite amount of time. In addition to that I assume that these are manufactured in Australia and who knows how long it will take for these awesome bumpers to be available in the U.S. again.

Just a quick note...

The day after I ordered my ARB bumper I received an email from Autoplicity about 30% off on shipping for my next order. I called Autoplicity and asked if I could use the 30% discount on the order I had just placed. The guy put me on hold for one minute and then came back and said yes.

I thought I was spending $1,053.81 for the bumper and $240 of that was shipping. With the discount applied my total cost was $980.86 shipped from Kentucky to Texas. In my opinion that isn't bad since these are on back order and there is probably very few of them in warehouses around the country.

When I placed my order Monday morning there was still one left in a west coast warehouse. The website states there are 14, but that isn't correct.
