On Friday I was able to get out and wheel for the first time in a while. Hit Argentine Pass with @Flemster . It was an awesome day and the weather was sweet- we got rained and hailed on for most of the day.

Couldn't make it to the top from a large snow drift still blocking the trail, but still an awesome day with good people!

Also replaced my front LCA bushings. It was quite the process, but it drives much better now that they are new.

Taking everything apart, I had one cam seized. After trying everything, I cut it off and finally had both arms out.

I originally picked up Energy bushings, but quickly realized they wouldn't work after seeing the condition of the parts that needed to be reused for them. I found a Toyota dealer that luckily had all the bushings and a new cam sleeve, and was still open.

Nothing came out nicely and it seems that most everything was very rusted on. Quite a few hours of work later, it was worth it!

Yours seemed to go much smoother than mine! Glad it all went in, I think the extra money for oem bushing will be worth it, They ride much nicer than the polly bushings.

Which perch of the 5100s were you on when you were running the 881s with the Addicted front bumper?

Great pics of your adventure man. Now that you have had the Cooper ST Pros for a bit, how are you feeling about them? Do they see much pavement with wet roads? They seem like they would be similar to BFG KM2s as far as road noise with the voids that they have, but I don't know. They look perfect for your neck of the woods.

I'm loving them honestly. They're a bit noisy for sure, but I'd say very reasonable for a MT. I don't do a whole lot of wet roads, but the times I have, I've never had an issue. Snow they really bite though.

Finally got through my pictures from Telluride/ FJ Summit!

Had an amazing time on this trip. Met up in Telluride with @RockyMtnPhoto , @4-Ripcord , and @Flemster on Thursday night, and made camp. The drive was about 10 hours with some quick stops.

Friday we woke up and ran Ophir Pass first, as a connection to the Black Bear Pass trailhead.

We met up with one other person and had a total of 8 vehicles. The views were incredible as always- the San Juans do not disappoint.

As we started down the back side, it started raining. It was coming down pretty hard as we got to the steps, and had to wait a bit for some bikes to get down. Even though it was my third time going down the steps, the rain definitely added to the excitement, but it wasn't nearly as bad as I had imagined.

After we were off the trail, we went into Telluride and got some awesome pizza, and headed back to camp. Saturday morning we headed back into Telluride to hit Imogene Pass.





We had a great group

Finally, the water crossing near the end of the trail. It was flowing pretty strong!


Camped for one more night, and headed home on Sunday! A short trip, but still tons of fun. Until next year!

Classes have had me crazy busy this semester, hence the lack of updates. Here's one finally though!

I ran Wheeler Lake again about a month ago. The weather was perfect and it was a fun day. However, the trail has definitely gotten harder from when I ran it last year...

Your 4Runner is so much better than those Jeeps! Nice rig!

Holy cow, those pics are awesome! Those are some pretty burly trails too. I know you went for quite a long time open diffs, but how often are you finding yourself kicking on the rear locker? Those 35" Cooper Pros look like they could chew through just about everything. It'll be interesting to see if BFG, when they redesign the KM2s, end up changing it much and get a little closer to the Coppers in design.

Thanks Ryder. I actually have been using my locker more than I would have thought- I usually just run open, but if I know an obstacle is going to need the traction, I'll flip it on.
The Coopers do pretty well, but more than once I've been spinning 3 tires with nothing grabbing... except for in Moab. The slickrocks hooks up pretty well!
I do imagine they will. I know a ton of people getting the STT Pros recently, even more than Duratracs. They're popular!!
