Did you guys document the tranny removal and install?
Of course we did Woody. What do you think we are? Pot Smoking Fools? Well, Sean does partake but I don't. No offense intended.
Sean just needs to find the time to edit that beast of a video. We're going to make it a multi-part video because one video would be wayyyy too long. We also have a 3rd member swap video, and 2 Rear Axle Seal videos (ABS and Non-ABS) coming out as well.

Cool, did you guys just do the seals or did you do bearings too?

On both jobs, we did the whole shibang. On the Non-ABS rear end, we did bearings, retainers and dust seals. On the ABS rear end, we did bearings, both retainers, ABS gears and dust seals. I bought a Harbor Freight press and the special axle tool that Durasolid makes. We also needed a bearing splitter.

Nice! I'll be looking forward to seeing that video too. When is it slated to go up?

Don't rightly know. It depends how much time Sean can put into it. He's going to get the 3rd Member Swap out next. That was an addition to doing the axle seals and bearings on this dude Jordan's Non-ABS rear end. After the 3rd member swap, he's going to work on the 2 axle seal videos. The video editing takes a long time. I'm toying with the thought of learning how to use the Apple program Final Cut and help him out but i doubt I'd ever be as good or as fast as him

If anyone is contemplating grinding down their upper control arms to fit tires wider than 265's but are hesitant to, check this video out. It's not bad, just go a little bit at a time so you don't over do it

How much material do you think you took off? It doesn't look like much. This looks like a much better option than spending big money on some Total Chaos UCAs but I've heard UCAs like Total Chaos improve your alignment numbers.
I've noticed your video delivery style is very much like Scotty Kilmer. Are you really like this in everyday life or is this just your stage act?

I don't know how much I took off exactly BUT I'm only running 275's so there isn't much to be shaved. I think you can shave off enough to run 285's. I didn't want to spend 100-200 bucks on wheel spacers or 500+ to get UCA's.
I like to think that I'm pretty true to myself in my videos. No act here!

How far off do you think you're speedometer is off now with those bigger tires?
Well, you definitely have a quick, cut to the chase, humorous way about you and I can see people liking that style since Scotty Kilmer's channel is pretty damn successful. I reckon you'll be gaining lots of subscribers as you build up more videos.
I think my style is fairly opposite yours. I talk a lot and explain things to the Nth detail so our videos end up being pretty long. I think many prefer the shorter videos like yours. Chris Fix, who's amazingly successful, does very succinct and to the point videos too. Sean and I didn't really get into it to build a huge base of followers but it is cool to see how many people decide to subscribe to our channel. We're making a little bit of money, but nothing really to speak of. The true goal is to empower people to work on their own rigs and give back to the DIY Mechanic Community.

@infamousRNR
and I have another video for you. We helped member
@JZiggy
with a Rear Axle Seal job, and as part of that job, we replaced his 3rd Member with a limited Slip 3rd Member he got from a dude that does good work.
So, if you ever wanted to know how to remove and replace your 3rd member or how to pull your rear axles, here's a video for you.
Here's the video and Enjoy the Show!

I haven't tested it, but I feel like when the speedo says 65 its more like 72-73. Man, I really don't like Kilmer. He titles his videos with a very broad stroke and leaves of so many details of a job. Your videos are super informational which is the ideal repair video. I keep mine kinda goofy because I want them to have more of a comedic feel. I just enjoy making them really, it's more for me, haha!

It is fun making the videos but I have to tell you sometimes I get frustrated with the whole process because I'm chomping at the bit to just get something done and I have to wait for Sean to get the right lighting in place and to get the camera where he can record what I'm doing. I'm lucky Sean tolerates me because sometimes I get impatient and then I'm not too pleasant to be around until I pull my head out of my ass and realize I just need to mellow out. I'm a type A personality and Sean is very mellow so we make a good pair. If we were both type A, we'd probably kill each other.

@mtbtim
thanks to you and sean aka
@infamousRNR
for the awesome vids! I had a CEL light come on and it ended up being a knock sensor bank 2 P0331 code i believe. It woudlve been a good video to make but i couldnt wait so i took off my SC and intake manifold to replace both sensors and wiring harness. Saw some oil building up underneath the SC and some buildup around the valve covers so i ended up changing the gaskets, cam covers and half moons. If it wasnt for your diy tutorial id probably skip it so definitely much appreciated!
