Water Pump, dealer quotes..
So, I'm looking to get my Water Pump (aka, complete ebay timing belt kit, oem Radiator, neck, etc).
*I'm supplying the parts. No, I don't really want to take this project on, I don't have the time or the tools.
What sort of quotes should be in the ball park, given current Toy Dlr flat rates?
My 02 T4R has under 62K on it, but i figure its the best move, as the Radiator, (built in trans cooler), hasn't failed, yet..
I searched around but didn't find what I was looking for. Thanks for your experienced input, I really love this T4R.

Prices vary quite a bit especially considering where you live.
In Wisconsin, a fair price for a TB/WP job (not including radiator) $700-1000 including parts. Stealerships will charge $1500+
If you are providing the parts, I'd say $400-700.
Since you are in NY, I'm assuming it would be more.
I did my TB/WP myself and it took me about 5ish hours, start to finish. It was my first time doing a TB job on any vehicle.
Hope this helps

Just a heads up, some places will not install customer supplied parts for warranty reasons.

I can't believe your 4runner only has 62,000 miles on it.
Here in the South, $500 to $1000 with supplied parts. Will have to find an independent dealer for do such more than likely.

Yup, actual miles, my pop bought it new after he retired, didn't drive that car a lot, and it barely got used by me in the winter time, so it was a good find. A lot of preventive maint. to do though.

I'm sure you're right, but thankfully the few I've contacted so far didn't have an issue with supplied oem parts.

Any reason you're set on a Toyota dealer doing the work other than the formal paperwork for your records?
I didn't have the right equipment to lift and stand this truck up in my garage so three weeks after I bought mine I was in your same situation. I needed gaskets, seals, plugs, wires, water pump, all belts and bushings and coolant. By poking around on the local Toyota FB groups I was able to locate a guy in central FL near me who was a 3rd gen 4Runner specialist. (FuelInfected.org) Long story short, the job that the guy (Morgan Haymond) did was amazing.
I would look hard in your local area (even if you have to drive a little bit) for a guru like that. Labor was way cheaper than all of my supplied parts. Honestly, a Toyota dealership was the last place I was hoping it would end up.
62K miles, I did the math, that's only about 1K miles a month. I would like to see pictures of that truck.

I have obtained quotes from local 4rnr group guy also, day job mechanic, that does work on side too. He even directed me to an ebay seller of the "kit" $280 https://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-GENUINE...UAAOSwZVlXooPN and labor only $300.

Doing a timing belt kit at 62K just may be a big waste of money. Inspect the belt, if good, leave it be. I inspected my 99 original at 112K then again at 250K, was still good, but I replaced it then. Original OEM stuff will last. You'll see a lot of guys pushing it well over 200K no prob. Even if the belt breaks it won't wreck your motor as its a not interference motor. The water pump and other stuff at that mileage should be in great shape.

It isn’t so much that the belt will break but that it will stretch, thus the tensioner may be maxed out. Believe me, change the belt, pump and as much as you can while in there. I waited sixteen years before my first belt change and while the belt was fine at 105k, it had stretched out to something fierce, so much that the timing marks would barely all line up. Wished I had done it sooner.
