I'm curious about this yellowing y'all are talking about. It didn't happen to my old tires and they were probably eight years old.

Is it a very noticeable yellow color?

It's a faded white like a white shirt after so many washes, and white when its not spot on it doesn't look so good anymore

That's your answer there kids, you leave them on the inside they won't get cleaned when you wash your truck. Unless you get down on all fours. Personally? I use the brush to scrub down my white letters and rims, the end result is as if they were new.

Thanks for all your input, guys. Ron, you make a very valid point.

I went to my dealership to get them and it seems they'd already been mounted with the white out.

So instead of pissing the guy off, I took them white out and I will see if I grow to them, if not, I'll change it to black.

For sure, it's too dark now.

Only thing I'm bummed out on is that two of the caps were broken when I bought them... should I go to Toyota for them?

To me, white out looks better and it looks nice on your truck.

Well if it's white out at least with the BFGs the lettering looks very good as opposed to some other brands that the lettering is too big or simply looks cheesy.
I off road a bit and when you rub the letters on rocks and such they get beat up and are simply a PITA to keep looking new but I do like the look for the GoodYear lettering on my Duratracs.

Looks good!! If you use a little bit of degreaser and a wire brush, you can keep the white lettering looking like new.

Your BFG's with the white lettering out looks GREAT!

Of course, I am partial to those tires on my trucks...

I use Bleachwhite on my raised white letters. They always come out looking great, year after year!

I first got into 4x4s when I was in high school back in the 70's and raised white lettering was the "cool" thing to do. So I'm still a fan of the RWL on off-road tires.

My wife, OTOH, hates them so when we got new tires on her Grand Vitara I had them mounted with the white letters on the inside. My 4runner came with BFG AT KOs mounted with the letters out so I'm happy but if they had been mounted the other way I sure wouldn't have paid good money to have them switched - I like white letters out, but I don't like them enough to spend money on the switch.

BTW, your truck looks great! Green and white is my favorite color combo anyway.

IF I end up buying the 99 supercharged truck, I will have the BFG's turned around so the white letters show.
It's worth it to me.

Here's the Wife's 97 4Runner, and YES she does love her BFG's with the white letters out.

Wow! thanks everyone for all the compliments, I wasn't expecting it to bring that much of a reaction. I might just keep the white.

I got some side shots today for those who asked:
