Bodylift done, is this normal??

So, I got my Toytec lift for my 2000 T4R in the mail today. I didn't have time to install the suspension lift so I just installed the BL. The middle body mount looks weird to me. It is the same on both sides but it isn't touching the rubber bushing, is it normal?

Also, anyone have any cool ideas on how to lift the bumper back up?

I would have guessed that its not normal because I didn't have that much clearance between my bushings and frame when I installed my BL but I have a 4th gen so I dont know...

I think rdgt4r was saying that its normal for the bumper to be low not about the middle points. But I could be completely wrong..

My mounts look like that too. BTW, I think 4Crawler is one of, if not the only one who makes bumper lifts. You can order them from the website.

My lift points just in the middle of the body did that as well, but I was able to get the spacer further up in the bushing some how and get it up snug, just can't recall what I did. On the bumper, you will need to order some brackets like was said from 4crawler. They basically raise the connecting points 1", and when you reinstall the bumper, it is being lifted the one inch. They will run you about $15 or so.

So after looking at these pictures I'm pretty sure my new to me 4R has a body lift installed. I'm pretty much a noob when it comes to anything lifted, so when I purchased the truck I thought the gap between the front bumper and body was normal. Guess not. I'm still a little skeptical on my truck having a body lift though, how would I be able to tell for sure. Can someone post a pic of the before and after of the BL lift? Especially showing the bumper gap. Thanks.

Yes it is normal I also have the same body lift from toytech. Those bushing also help the running boards more than anything else. It does look kind of weird not making contact with the body but that is how they are set up.

the easiest way to tell is to look at a body mount and look whats in between the cab body and the bushing if there is a spacer made of aluminum or a poly material then you have a BL. also if there is a gap in the rear fender well between the body and frame of more than an inch then chances are you have a BL.

If you look at my pic up top with the bumper off, I have the driver's side mount on and the other is not. It is the little white hockey puck thing to the lower right of the radiator.

So, do you have any pics of your truck with just the body lift installed? All the pics i find when searching have a bodylift and a suspension lift.

Also, how difficult is the install?

The install was not hard at all, I did it by myself with a highlift jack in my driveway and it took about 4 hours. These are the instructions I used 3rd Gen 4Runner Body Lift Installation

Here is a before pic.

Here is an after

Bumper gap

The tire rubs here!!!!!!!

Blackdot, This is what your mount will look like if you have a body llift.
