Official Wheel Paint Thread
If you painted your wheels post up with color and a pic. It's hard to tell with the cell pics but the wheel on the bottom is slightly darker.
Rust-Oleum Metallic rattle can
244228 Metallic Charcoal (top pic)
Matched my rear license plate area on my 96 limited that you can barely see the 4runner decal. Did not match my fenders or body cladding
Rust-Oleum Metallic rattle can
7250 Black Night Metallic (bottom pic)
Did a much better job matching my fenders and body cladding.

Painted my stockers, i love them. Used Dupli Colors wheel paint. In the lightest shade they had. Matched pretty well.
I just covered up all the pitting and stuff my wheels had when i bought the truck.
Before.
After

That bronze is definitely unique....like the back to original finish too. Did the same thing to my 80 series wheels

Since someone already posted what I have currently (Dupicolor aluminum), I'll post my last 3rd Gen wheel color ;)
This is just flat black Krylon. I am now a Dupli Color man now though.

From this:
to this: Duplicolor Graphite with Duplicolor ClearCoat
What may look like imperfections are reflections, they really look nice.

Did you prep these in any way? Did you paint the wheels with the tires on? I just bought my first 3rd Gen (1996) and my wheels look bad... not as bad as yours, but the clear coat is chipped and the centers are all discolored. I like the color you picked because it still looks OEM and not "rock crawler black" ;-)

LOL, someone's comment on his thread inspired this one where he explains the bumpers as well.
Painted Wheels and installed 255/85R16 BFG KM2's

Looks as though he took the wheels off since the lug nuts are still chrome. (you could possibly make something to cover them while painting instead of taking them off) He also took the time to remove his wheel weights unlike myself.

Did you paint match our anthracite? or did you get some from Toyota or something?

CJ80cruiser is right on both counts. I had them off, and did them one at a time. I had bought four new Michelin LTX MS2's to replace my Cross-Terrain's after 75K (no longer made in my size). I bought a fifth rim cheap on E-Bay and did that first and put a new M/S2 on when I was done. Prep was just with Red Scotch-Brite pads with a little help from a Palm Sander where it was chewed up. The color is the same HWP102 that Prospectator used--I got it from NAPA.
Then acid-etch primer (because the sander took me to bare metal), followed by sandable primer, then the Graphite, then clear color. All Duplicolor and a few coats of each as per label. The dry times are short, all that painting can be done in like one 2-hour session. I just set the rim on a tall stool covered by a garbage bag near where I was doing something else, like sunbathing or fixing a lawn mower. I set a cooking timer to remind myself to go back and spray.
I did pull the wheel weights since they had to be rebalanced anyway. One tip is wait a good ten days before you try to touch anything up--including boo-boos from mounting/balancing. It all runs if you try to do it sooner.
The first new one became the spare, then went on the front with the second one. The third one then became the spare, then later went on the back with the fourth one. I may buy a fifth tire and go to a five-tire rotation now that I have five rims. I went slow so for a few months I had different color rims between front and back.

Yeah, I got the paint from an automotive paint supplier. I painted them when I painted the sport hood.
