funny you say that, a buddy of mine said that it was the silver center caps on black wheels that gave it a cop-ish look. Gonna have to lift it though, feel like Im driving a bastardized 4runner...

Meant to ask you when you'll be making a build thread lol. Lifted or not, still looks good but that extra ground clearance really makes a huge difference.

Yep! I just took out the center caps, taped off the lugs and sprayed away.
It's holding up well. Have yet to take it offroad. Worst case, I'll do another coat then clear coat, but it feels pretty strong

Really like the way your headed with this it looks good how it is right now but I'm more a lifted kind of person. If it was me since you plasti dipped the wheels I would paint the bull bar black to let everything flow nicely to me the chrome bull bar kinda sticks out a little too much being chrome (I've never liked chrome) haha just my opinion. Can't wait to see this build come along good luck

Not a bad idea. I originally wanted a black brush guard, but it was too expensive. Thanks a lot man.

If you Plasti Dip the bull bar, emblems, and roof rack, that would look pretty badass IMO

Right now i'm thinking the push bar and door handles, leaving the emblems chrome and going with the silver/chrome/black color scheme and maybe some bedliner on the running boards (they are staying)
it's funny, toyota makes painted to match door handles and roof racks and stuff such a fancy option and half of us paint them back to black....

Impulse buy!
Just bought a JL audio amp and 8" Sub and a cheap-o wiring kit.

Busy day -
took out my aftermarket radio, reset the factor setting with the factory radio, finished some more of my LED conversion (the 4wd selector) and installed my amp
I wired it to the battery, grounded on the seat bolt, rear cig lighter for turn on courtesy of
@ ARK_SWAMP_RIDER
's thread on his sub. Now I'm just waiting for the freaking sub to come!!
Also, re-plastidipped the pass wheels - it works much better with 5-6 thin coats than one thick one...
I tried to do the door handles, but i'll wind up having to take the off, probably going to try tomorrow.
The amp all wired up - it fits perfectly under the seat.
As my truck sits, waiting for the sub to come:
