WinJet Fog lights
im making this thread to post my review and to share what i have found. back in April i was looking around and found a new set of fog lights by winjet. winjet makes OEM clear replacement, tinted, and yellow fog lights. i was wanting some yellow fog lights the first day i had my truck and now i have them. they seem to look and hold up better then tinted film for headlights and fog lights.
i picked up yellow fog lights from them and love the look. they seem to be a deeper yellow then a lot of the tint films i have seen. overall quality seems to be equal if not better then oem, only visual difference in design is there is no reflector in front of the bulb like OEM. the beam pattern hits trees even when aimed down but is not a problem for other drivers. the little amount of light that is scattered would not be enough to bother other drivers but does make visibility out the sides much better. the overall cost for this was around $40 shipped with new bulbs.

@ mustangchris66
and I look to be the only ones with these fog lights. chirs if you would like to post your overall thoughts that would be great.
these fog light kits come with a complete wiring harness and bulbs for around $40

I got mine on amazon.
I will echo everything that kevinpt has said and add that the amount of light is way more than with yellow light bulbs I was running before getting these. Maybe it is the lack of the reflector in the housing. I also moved the adjustment screw from the original light to the new one as it looked like it would work better. I will post some pictures of mine latter.

Nice!! I wonder if they make these for the projectors on the '03-'05 4th gens. That's a great price for what looks like some good quality lenses. On other vehicles I've always run yellow Lamin-X film and/or Nokya bulbs (PIAAs burn out too often.) I was getting ready to order some Nokyas, but I'd much rather have something like this. Hmm...

they do not make tinted fogs for 03-05 all they have are clear. i would go with lamin-x film for older 4th gens

Hey guys, I'm looking to run some upgraded fogs in my 07. Have a couple questions for you if that's cool?
I was thinking HID but my 07 has reflectors, not projectors like the early fogs.
Any idea how these compare to an HID? What wattage and type/brand bulbs are you using?
I suppose I could try to retrofit the early fog projectors and go HID but that's probably alot more $ when all said and done.
Thanks !

got a few questions here.
are you wanting something like 3k hid fogs or like 5-6k?
are you wanting to blind other drivers?
i really dont see a need in hid fogs, they are blinding as hell and i dont see the point in a reflector housing. the winjets are better then stock and i dont think i would go with hid's for fogs. i might be upgrading to hid headlights soon but would never put them in fogs because of how annoying it is to other drivers and how useless it is in a reflector housing.
not trying to get into an argument here but no i wold not put HID's in the fogs

Thanks for the info, kevinpt. This info comes at the perfect time as I saw these fogs in another post and was researching them. Glad to hear there's good feedback on them. Looks like I found a new Xmas gift.
As for the harness,is it a simple "plug and play" or will I need to splice things...??
Thanks again!

if you have fogs in your truck now you just have to plug the bulb in

You actually don't need the harness at all. Using the harness would create a new switch for the fog-lights but the old switch would not work. All you need is to plug the new Winjets directly to the the stock wiring from the stock fog lights and they work just as the stock lights did - except better being yellow.
I slightly modified the Winjet harness to install the LEDs up front.

so we had some really bad fog tonight and these things did amazing.
pictures dont do it justice at all but if i had turned the fogs off all i would see was white.
some crappy cell pictures
this is really the only photo i could take that would show how well yellow fogs do. headlight beams can be seen in the air but not the fogs. the fogs lit up the road nicely

Replacing fog lights with HID's defeats the purpose of fog lights, unless you're going for that tuner look. If you spend a lot of time in snow and dense fog and prefer the selective yellow (like I do) then the original post is a good suggestion.
