Even MORE Pics from Rausch!

As you can probably tell, I can't get enough of this place. And I'm freaking obsessed with some of these photos. Maybe off-road/4x4 photography is my calling lol.

Nothing major as of now. Working on sort of refining what I currently have. I need to find a place to route my CB cable connection, and where to put the microphone hanger. If anyone has some suggestions, please let me know!

I do have some upcoming plans that I am extremely excited about. I am looking to put in an ARB Dual Compressor in my engine bay with room for a 1Gal tank in the future. Leroy (aka Bandiworld) and I have been talking and he makes engine bay mounts for FJs and 5th gens. Talked to him and he said he would hook me up with a custom 4th gen V8 mount. Super stoked!

Beyond that, my next plans are probably a set of sliders (cause I basically broke my running boards) and maybe a roof rack. That Gobi groupbuy is really really tempting, but man is that a lot of money I am looking for bolt on sliders with a top tred plate. I have looked all over the place and I am currently in the process of doing more research, but does anyone have any brands that I should definitely put at the top of my list or definitely avoid? Thanks!

In other news, gained a solid 10HP today...

Compressor Mount

Compressor mount from Bandiworld is here! Won't be able to test fit for a few weeks, but that will just give me time to get the ARB Twin compressor ordered and ready to go

But for now, here is a nice comparison of the old and the new.

Attachment 168384

Also installed two new switches. They are pretty awesome and simple to wire/install. Had to sand down the inside of the switch hole a bit, but nothing too extreme.

Attachment 168385

Also, not pictured, I put my factory skids back on. I put some red rustoleum on them and they look great. Only issue was that two of the bolts snapper when I initially took them off, and we tried to extra them. No dice. Ended up just drilling a new hole in the skid with some beefier bolts and put them through two holes already in the frame. Works, but not ideal.

I'm loving these lights! Where did you get the fixtures from?

I honestly don't really know. We were just blasting around all over the place and I wasn't leading. But I honestly had a blast and didn't have any trouble on any of the trails we went on, and some were sketchy lol.

Hit me up some time and maybe we can get a group from Bmore to head up to Rausch for a day or two!

You mean the headlight assemblies themselves? Originally I got the TYC replacements from RockAuto, but both of them had defects and I returned them for a refund. Said screw it and decided to go with OEM fixtures from Camelbak Toyota. Perfect fit, no problems so far, and although I had to spend more, it was well worth it.

Pulled the lighted running boards off today. Really easy and I am liking how it simply makes it look higher off the ground. Definitely digging it. In the meantime, still working on figuring out the compressor mounting and now I am trying to come up with some courtesy lights to replace the ones from the running boards.

Could you post a close up picture of where/how you mounted your Comet RS720? No hurry. Thanks!

They were 0 offset. I got a bit of rubbing in the fender liner up front, but that was really easy to fix and took me about 5 minutes. Same goes for trimming the mud flaps. Really simple to do.

Sure thing. I actually haven't tuned my CB completely yet, and I am hoping to do so in the next few days, so I'll snag a pic when I do it.

Very nice, I planned on this same lift but have been torn between 255 75 17s and 275 70 17.

After trimming, do you have any more rubbing issues? If so what does it rub on? Are you happy w this size tire?

Nope. No more rubbing after the initial trimming. Everything was perfect after that. I am in love with this tire size. I think they should come factory like this. It is a slightly taller, slightly wider tire and I think it gives it just a bit more lift/clearance while also giving it a more aggressive stance. All in all, I love it.
