Goodridge Stainless Brakelines, 6 pc installed...

Quick summary of my experience installing the Goodridge stainless brakeline kit install experience...

GOODRIDGE G-STOP BRAKELINE KIT part # 21186
Goodridge G-Stop Brakeline Kit

Forum search I performed did not turn up any reviews of this kit, so here goes, no pictures sorry:

Short Summary
Successful install was not fun, but doable...hesitant to recommend this kit or mod...

All 6 lines included plus new clips and some C Clips...with no instructions on which lines would need the C Clips.

None of the lines seemed to be a exact match for the existing brackets but in the end, all were useable.

Front Brake Lines - easy swap. Used original clips , they are easier to tap into place and hold the lines nicely. New Clips have too much arch and do not tap without a fight or flattening work.

Rear Brake LInes - Banjo Bolt would not fit in the proper notch on the caliper. Flipping it to the outside worked. Because the rear lines have the elbow hard piping, it seemd to matter which one you used on right or left side. We considered dremeling out the notch on the brake caliper to make the new part fit, but chose not to go this route.

This does expose the rear brake line to higher opportunity for stick and rock impact, but as short as it is, it lays pretty close. I accepted the new lay as a necessity.

Rear Center Brake Lines - on these lines we ended up using a C Clip and a bracked clip. without the C clip the line would slip through the bracket.

Also note, dropping the spare tire was very helpful as was having the truck jacked up high enough & Safely secured so I could sit/crouch under the truck to fiddle with these annoying parts, with slippery hands.

Overall this job was low on the fun scale.

Bleeding the brake lines went pretty quick using the two person method,

Good luck.

For others looking to do this, I just went through this ordeal and the OP did a really good writeup. This is NOT a fun job, but certainly doable if you have the temperament.

I think the kit fits fine, as documented the only difference is the rear lines at the caliper. The Goodridge have an assembly at the elbow that prevents the line from fitting in the notch on the calipers, but no big deal (OEM is all one piece there). You can see the nut at the elbow--that's what wont go in the notch. You don't really see the notch in the picture.

Only difference in my install is I routed the SS line inside the fixed line instead of around it, more like the original path of the line. Just rotate the fitting at the caliper up about 60 degrees. I made sure nothing touches, don't want anything wearing due to rubbing from normal vibrations. If the line doesn't lay (bend) right, rotate the fitting at the bracket with the clip 180 degrees.

Oh, and those middle two lines were the toughest job I've ever done on a car.

I swapped all 6 brake lines to SS as well.
I used a propane torch to heat up all the female fittings, which made breaking the stock joints apart a lot easier IMO.
(The hardline fittings are easily 'rounded' and are made of a soft metal)

This exactly! Heat cycle them a couple times, lots of PB blaster, correct flare wrench for the fittings, and patience. Not a fun job but it can be done with no issues.
