I'm very pleased with them. I have them paired with Fox 2.0" shocks, and they ride much better than the FJ / 5100 combo I had previously. As far as lift, I do think they settled in the 1.5" - 1.75" range, although I haven't measured recently.

I've put about 15k miles on my T12s with 5100s. For a while I wasn't sure if I liked the combo. The rear end would dance all over the place on really rough terrain at speed. But when I extended my sway bar end links to remove the preload from lifting, everything felt much better. For the price, it's a very good set up and a solid upgrade if you want a stock like ride with a lift.

I'll have to try this. How did you extend them?

By using 2nd gen rear end links. They are identical except 1" longer.

Had a similar issue but under braking @ fwy speeds. The rear coils would basically release there energy, lifting and destabilizing the rear end. SO if you had to redirect the truck in the process of this happening it would swerve. Since them i ve installed dobinson 323 coils that provide about 1.25" lift rear lift and the truck handles alot better as a result.

On another note i have heard from someone who installed the T13s mentioned earlier in this thread on a 07' and claims that the lift is around ~1". So know its nice to know we have more options and better data at our disposal to make better decisions....

Thanks for the replies. Any ideas why these coils would need sway bar end link extensions? Or is that any new coils could benefit from them? I'm kinda weary of the T12s after reading a few of these reviews.

They don't technically need longer end links, but they can improve suspension performance and feel, if you can even notice it. A lot of people can't.
The sway bar is designed to reduce body roll when cornering and improve vehicle stability. At normal ride height the sway bar should not be applying any forces to the axle or chassis, but it will as soon as the suspension starts to move. If you add a lift kit, of any brand, it has the same effect as if the factory suspension is extending and the sway bar will try to resist and will always be exerting a force on everything. In my case, I could feel the effects when I went over bumps because the sway bar was helping the coils to compress initially and resisting them more than they should to extend. It just didn't feel right, but the longer links fixed this and it felt normal again. But like I said, I don't think most people can even tell.

They work great.. 5100s set to 0.. T1/T12 combo.. replaced 95k mile xreas.. I did get a 1/4 top poly spacer for driver side slant.. and I reclamped my cv boots bc they started to sweat.

I do think for Christmas I will buy the extended links and poly sway bar bushings. Just don't have time to put it on right now.

I just installed the longer links and I'm concerned there's very little clearance between them and the lower arms, it looks like if I bottom out the arms will hit the links. I hope I'm wrong.

Also I thought a lot about the geometry of the whole thing and I'm not sure they will actually accomplish anything but we'll see on my drive home tonight.

EDIT after 30 miles hwy drive

I can't honestly feel a difference.

When I took off the old links (which were only 2 years old and already rusted and one was bad...) the swaybar was pretty loose (I could easily move it by hand) and under no tension, which is why I am not sure this mod does anything. But it's cheap and easy so whatever.

I've had the Wheeler springs on since this spring and really like them and haven't had any issues.

I had a OEM FJ springs all around with 5100s. The rear FJ springs were sagging.

I think T12s provide a better ride than the FJ springs, a little less harsh or the spring rate matches the 5100 better. When your carrying a little weight I think the ride improves a little more.

I had already installed the 2nd gen 4runner sway bar links before the wheeler springs. If you don't extend the rear sway bar links you are going to add pre-load to the system.

My next buy will be the T1's to match in the front.

That was my experience as well, I started with FJ coils and then moved to the T12s because I wanted more lift - once I had them on I realized how bad of a ride the FJ coils were. To me it was a huge improvement.

I can't wait to install my 6112s and get a feel for the whole setup.

The rig looks great.

I was thinking of adding the 10mm spacers to the rear when I switch the front out.

I was looking for a little forward rake. Or do you think that T12's alone give you some rake?

That doesn't surprise me. The suspension really needs to be working more, like it would on rough and bumpy roads, but if your stock links weren't preloaded before, then you probably didn't need the extended ones.

I was concerned about LCA clearance too, so I stuck a chunk of playdoh on the arm and flex the suspension the most I could. If they collided, the playdoh would be mashed, but it wasn't. That area of the arm doesn't move a great distance.

Does anybody have experience to share with the T12s and other shocks than the 5100s?
