I've got some cheap amazon LED pods on the back of my 3rd gen that come on with the reverse lights via a relay. They make a big difference when backing up at night, especially with the limited visibility caused by the tire carrier. IMO, the smaller flush mount LEDs are a pretty slick option for 4th gens with a stock rear bumper.
Just to add value to this post... another picture!

This is a really nice build thread. Really appreciate you taking the time to show details and provide links. Already have some new LEDs ordered thanks to your documentation efforts.

It definitely beats finding a pile of boogers in the car seat. Someday the kids will be on top of it and flick them out the window like Dad.

No problem. I'm glad you found the information useful and took the time post in the thread. It makes it worthwhile to know that people are getting some use out of the info.

Any idea on how much the interior leds cost all together?
Also this will be a lot harder to remember, but general cost of your suspension upgrades minus the tires?

$275 for all 4 shocks (forum classifieds, local)
$200 for all 4 coils (c-list)
$26 for the KYB top mounts (amazon)
$20 for the OME trim packer (4WheelParts)
$0 for the Toytec top plate spacer (friend gave it to me)
$0 for the bumpstops (purchased prior for another vehicle)
As for the LEDs, I think it was $40-50 total. I purchased closeout bulbs from VLEDs and the Yorkims are $10 on Amazon. The 48 LED dome panels I bought off Ebay as a 5 pack years ago... maybe $10-15 there.

Now if only I could find that kind of steal for those parts...In Arkansas there isn't that much on the used market that I've seen.

I love how your rig sits and keep looking for some options. I have XREAS and a front coil spacer but want to go higher. Only a 2wd though so just for looks LOL

Did you ever see Breaking Bad? There's always "hot" stuff in the used NM market.

If I'm buying something, I always try to get it at a discount. Hunting down the deals has become kind of a pastime for me. I surf craigslist for Toyota parts daily and deals similar to the ones I got have not come up again since.
Thanks for the compliments on the rig, and for following the thread. There's nothing wrong with fixing up your 2wd just for looks. Many of the guys who dump thousands into their 4wds are doing it just for looks too. Mall crawlers are thick on this forum. Case in point, this build. I can admit it, it's all good. I just like that my wife drives a nicer 4Runner than 99% of the male owners in my area, and I get to have fun tinkering with it.

Yeah and ever since my roommate got a 4th gen as well, I feel like we're secretly trying to out-do each other now on what we can do to ours...the problem is we're broke a** college students
HA just don't go for singles that are red heads, hairdressers, or anybody named Tiffany...I hope somebody at least gets that reference...its a joke, nothing hateful intended

Wife zone chart, good stuff... should be mandatory viewing for college freshman males.
My kid goes to preschool with the daughter of a guy I happen to know from high school. His wife is named Tiffany, and she's a redhead... not sure if she ever worked as a hairdresser, though.

So, enough BS for now.
I made a grille for the Grocery Getter. I'll go ahead and say it... I'll bet this grille could go head to head with any on the forum for fit, finish, and attention to detail. It's my 4th go at it, so I'm getting pretty dialed on the process.
I used a stock emblem painted graphite for now, but that may get swapped for something else or, at minimum, see a color change.
There are a lot of tips and tricks I learned in the process that I'd be happy to share, but I'm not going to waste the time because either nobody reads the 4th gen section, or nobody cares, I'm not sure.

The Satochi looks good. I hate the ones that are all Black which makes it look like a big Black hole in the front of your truck.
