If your 3rd is LED'd then it might be pretty cool on the 3rd brake light. I have seen them on the regular brake lights and don't like them there, not sure why but that's my take.

I've seen them a lot on motorcycles with & w/o LED brake lights, love them (in mode 1) on bikes

ok guys, did this last night at my work parking lot, using my spoiler stop light, so i have it wired in mode 2, also took my spoiler down and wired it in there, splice some wires and made some extension wires so i have more play, and mounted that module in the spoiler with double stick tape. easy mod, might be the first 4th gen to have a blinking high mount stop light and this all costed me 35 bucks.

Ugh...I hate those freakin' things with a passion. I seriously think they instill road rage for the person behind you. There's a reason why they didn't catch on in popularity from the car manufacturers.
Not trying to bash, but I'll bet a lot of people feel the same way.

Not me. No offense but back in the day we used to call that like uhm "rice". But it's your ride and if it makes you happy, then it's all good.

I bought a used 2004 that has it. It is in mode 1. How do you change the modes or turn it off? Thanks.

If you were to actually think about its effect, its a sound investment. In a sea of tail lights at night it can help differentiate between running lights and actual brake lights, in effect bringing attention to your BRAKING. In a state like ours which has 34 million people, its unlikely you'll be in a pack of cars with anyone else that has this which might negate its effect. In a state such as yours Mike, which has 4 million people or less than 10% as many people as CA its far more likely for someone else to have it.

I'm all for safety, but please make sure your state law allows for this. Here in the Republic of Commifornia, it may be illegal.

BTW, onto the rice comment....it could be said that your TRD oil cap, TRD Leather Shift Knob, OBX pedals, TRD & I-Force emblems are rice in a far greater way.

If there is a white wire on the device you usually connect and disconnect the wire one time to change through each mode...some have 36 modes.
