Thumbs up FYI: Shorkworks Epic Group Buy #2

Just wanted to give those who don't frequent the general discussions area that there is a Group Buy going on for ALL Shrockworks products. This GB is open to all products made by SW. It does not need to be 4runner specific. Please follow the link below for all the info.

Shrockworks Epic Group Buy #2

Great news as I am in the market for a skid plate. Went 4wheelin with stock suspension and smashed up my front skid pretty good.

I might as well ask in this thread, but from what I gather my options for skid plates are Bud Built or SS. Is there much difference between these? Or is a skid plate a skid plate. Anyone offer some advice to help me decide?

With my stock suspension (soon to be upgraded hopefully) do I want the full skid plate or maybe just the engine skid? I'm thinking of minimizing overall weight.

I'm not doing any hardcore 4wheelin but I do like to get into the backcountry of Colorado and Utah. I know with my 2002 and a modest 2" lift, I never crushed the stock skids.

Both make solid products, I think the only main difference right now is that SW doesn't make a gas tank skid and BB does.

You're most welcome! The GB is going perfectly. I didn't think it would get this type of response so quick. I will be turning in the list on Monday to see what type of discount we can get with the current numbers we already have.

Talking 5th Gen Shrockworks rear Bumper

I just got off the phone with Jim over at SW and the rear bumper is ready and will qualify for the GB pricing. They are going to honor the GB pricing discount for the rear bumper for a few extra days since they did not get the pricing completed in time. Here are some pics he had sent me that have not yet been posted. You will need to cut up your stock bumper but the cuts do not need to be exact as they will be hidden behind the SW bumper.

Pricing is as follows:
Rear bumper only: ~$900
Rear bumper with tire carrier: ~$1,600

Contact them direct to place your order.

I'm really thinking about just getting the rear bumper but not entirely sold on the look of it.

Do you know the weight of the rear bumper with the carrier? Also, are those the regular prices before GB discount?

Was there any news on how the tire carrier works with:
A) the Gobi ladder
B) The rearview camera

THANKS!
