REVIEW: ArmorAll Extreme Shield Wax

First time I've used this product so here goes.

My 4R Trail is black with lots of plastic so didn't want anything that left a haze, dust or residue on plastic trim and related parts, plus I don't want to spend a lot of time waxing a vehicle.

The product, ArmorAll Extreme Shield Wax states that you apply to a cool, dry and clean surface and not in a circular motion; just wipe on a 2'x3' area and wipe off, out of direct sun light.
The kit includes a microfiber towel, applicator and of course the wax.

After washing/drying the truck, I ran some errands to make sure it was good and dry when I returned.
I applied the wax as per the directions and I must say I'm rather impressed, fast and easy! The product removed easily and left no haze or film, as far as I can tell. I did go over it again with another clean microfiber towel I had just to make sure I removed all of the product. I did ALL the exterior plastic parts and again, on the flat black plastic it left no film or white residue which impressed me.
Keep in mind I did this on a cool morning, about 47* in a garage out of the sun.
The truck is still in the garage and am going to pull it out into the sunlight and see how it looks so I maybe editing my final conclusion.

I cannot comment on the longevity of the application as this was my first go with it.
I paid $15.99 at Advance Auto and ArmorAll has a $10 rebate going on until the first of the year so for $6.00, thought I'd give it a whirl.

Here is a short video that is rather interesting about this product, enjoy.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that this product doesn't give you the "slick" feel when removing like a conventional wax does. If you're into that slick $hit feeling, this isn't for you.

UPDATE:
Pulled it out into the sun and must say that I'm VERY impressed, no haze effect on the paint!
Considering what a pain in the ass it is to use conventional waxes, I'm going to stay with this product.

I just used this today per your review and I agree it is easy to put on and take off. Hopefully it works as good as the video shows. I picked it up for $14.99 from O'Reillys Auto parts. So with the rebate I would say it is worth $4.99 to try out.

UPDATE PART II

On my way to work this morning......5am, the moths must have been mating or something.
They were all over. Seeking the beam from my headlights only to find a certain death other than sex.
Not that sex will bring certain death as I've been married going on 30 years and am still kickin', walking a little funny but not dead.
Y'all will figure it out someday.

I digress.
So get home this afternoon and look at the front of my 4R and holy $hit, looks like I ran into a herd of cows standing along the road with their asses pointed towards the lane waiting for the next vehicle to pass.
Yes friends, the front was COVERED with dried moth carcasses and my black 4R had transformed into a color similar to baby $hit, a tan/brown....thank god no green!
I say to myself, "self, looks like you're gonna need a bucket of water and a sponge" but NO!
I member that I put this "Better Than Snot" wax on over the weekend and said "just get a wet rag and wipe that stuff".
You know it came off without any effort, one swipe. Could have used a dry rag. Not a bug carcass left or any bug residue.

This has been a friendly service reminder from FLASH!
