Is it possible to disable the radio from turning off after an hour?

In my old pathfinder, I could leave the key in "ACC" mode for hours on end and it wouldn't ever turn itself off but in my 2014 4Runner Limited, it turns off after an hour. Can this be disabled? I have the push button start so there isn't really any ACC mode for the key as there is no key...

Never heard of anyone doing this before. Is there a certain reason why you would want it to stay on longer than an hour?

Using the liftgate speakers aka Party Mode. We sometimes do it with my 4Runner out camping if we're enjoying some adult beverages around the fire.

Ahhh I see. i was thinking maybe he was trying to charge something using the 12v socket.

I've done it while watching a movie at a drive in. But, it's a small price to pay compared to having a dead battery because you listened to some tunes for too long.

It's actually way less than 1 hour before it turns off automatically (I think 30 min), totally annoying at the cine-park or using party mode, so I always use this small trick.

While your engine is ''ON'', put your transmission lever in ''NEUTRAL'' and then turn off the engine. Then turn the ignition back ''ON'' with the button, without touching the brake (do not start engine). This will trick the ECU in thinking the engine is running.

-- do not forget to put on the parking brake, turn off all your lights and turn off the fan and A/C system completely with the ''OFF'' button.

Can you put the truck back in park after all this or does it need to stay in neutral?

You could try it, but I think the timer will start and shut off your truck.

There is no harm to leaving the truck in neutral, just push that parking brake hard enough.
