Turn Signal Wiring - Help Please

Can someone please tell me which wire does what? ie: parking lamps, turn, ground

I believe the white with black stripe is ground, but i'm not sure and I dont want to start splicing the wrong wires. Thank you in advance.

I wish I could be more helpful, but my best advice would be to test it using a multimeter before splicing anything. It's the only way to be sure because the wiring may have changed for recent years of the 4Runner. I think you might be able to test it without cutting anything by jamming a wire into the plug right next to the wire you're trying to test. Maybe someone else knows the colors for sure?

Thank you for your help. I was able to find a wiring diagram and through deductive reasoning figured out the green is constant power. Exactly what i needed.

Cool. I didn't see this in time to help but your deductive reasoning skills are keeping you going! Nice work.

I like it! I bet it looks even better at nite....
Does it blink with turn signals? I assume it's constant due to your comment.
I wanted to do something similar to add blinker on mirror or bottom of fender... I bet that wire would be the ticket.

Cool Mod! Yes the Green is always hot. But, in the white fuse box on the drivers side, you can get more power by using a Bussmann BP/HHH ATM Add-A-Fuse in one of the empty fuse locations. There are several to choose from, always hot with the accessory, always hot... just use a multimeter to confirm.

So I don't want my grille lights running when the stalk is "OFF", but would like to have them on in any of the other 3 settings. Will using the green accomplish this?

I'm under the impression that using an Add-a-fuse will not accomplish that, and will have them on full time.

Splicing into the green wire will give you power anytime the marker lights are on. Hope that makes sense.

I'm trying to do this mod myself, but there's little information on how to get it to the signal lights. I kinda get an idea with this post, but I just want to make sure I got it correct.

I get all my marker lights, getting 4 Oznium LEDs (Here)

I'll connect this all together with a primary cable, one group of positive and another for negative/ground.

The positive will be taped into the green cable going to the signal light. So when the 4runner turns on the lights will turn on, and then blink when the signal lights start to blink? I do 2 for each side ?

Splicing into the green wire will not make the lights blink with your turn signals. It will only turn the grille lights on when your parking lights turn on

Anyone know what gauge the wire is on the turn signals? Did a search and could not find any details on wire gauge. My assumption is somewhere in the realm of 20 to 22 AWG? Thank you.

Is the yellow wire the blinker?

green - constant
white/black - ground
yellow - blinker?
