Cement Grey Daily Driven TRD Pro (mild) Build

Here we go....

Just thought I'd start a build thread for my TRD Pro which will be daily driven 40 miles a day and will see some occasionally off road usage.

My main goal is to maintain as close as possible the stock ride quality and mpg. Living in Florida I'll need as close to a mud terrain as possible but again something that won't trash the existing ride quality.

Aside from that, I plan to add some protection in the form of a bumper and rock sliders and also a winch to prevent all-nighters.

So far I've got the following:

285/70/17 Nitto Ridge Grapplers

Toytec 2" Spacer Kit

This will be installed over the weekend. I'm not lifting the rear for now as I'm not sure how much-added weight the front will have once the bumper and winch are installed and trying to keep the stance level front and rear.

On order & pending arrival:
- C4 Fabrication Slider
- C4 Fabrication Bumper
- Winch
- Rear blackout overlay
- TRD cold air intake
- HID lights

And here's another build I just wrapped up:

2005 Jeep LJ
5:13 gears w/ ARBs front and rear & 315/70/17 Dick Cepek MTs

Looking forward to getting some ideas from you guys for future stuff.

The toytec spacer kit 2" is that just added to the Pro suspension? I'm curious

That is correct. Here's the link to the full kit for reference (I didn't get rear springs). Toytec lift kit for TRD Pro 4Runners

Have you had a chance to install the ridge grapplers yet? It looks like you went with the C-rated ones, which are the same tires I hope to install this summer/fall! Please let us know how the ride quality is.

Nice truck. I think I am going with the C4 sliders and Toytec lift as well, but no winch or new tires for me.... yet.

How will that lift impact ride quality? And I assume you will need your alignment adjusted as well.

As per the feedback I've gathered here the ride will be minimally affected.

Also interested in hearing about the ride quality with the ridge grapplers.

Great. Thanks. Now you got me googling LJs and trying to figure out how I can build one of those too.
