Well this is irritating. My brand new TRD pro is having an issue where the driver side door will not shut unless you give it a little extra pressure. I'm not talking about severely misaligned door, I'm talking about one where you can tell that it is just a little off and all the other doors shut properly but this one will hang open in less you give the correct amount of push.

When I took it to my dealer they acted like I was crazy. They said sometimes you have to roll the windows down for them to shut properly. I pointed out that I had traded in a 2014 trail that had special doors that shut every time. Hilariously, as I was leaving the guy tried to shut the door for me and it did not shut properly. As I was driving down the road they called me and offered to have a Toyota tech look at it and give me a rental car.

To be fair the issue is subtle. If you shut your truck doors like it is a 87 Ford tempo with crash damage you would never notice. But it was hilarious to watch the manager pretend like it wasn't a problem only to have other, unalert emplyees able to reproduce the problem immediately. I guess he needs to let them in on the "it's never our problem" policy.

Hopefully they will square it up. I love the truck otherwise. I am annoyed with them, but I am sure they get folks in there complaining about minor stuff and the issue isn't consistent, so it was easy to ignore.

Might have had one of those rumored "port accidents" when it came off the ship and didn't bother to fix it proper.

I have to give mine a little extra but don't have to slam it. I think it has to do with the pressure, I think the vehicle is has good seals. Have you tried replicating it with a window down?

Yes. The door does not exhibit the issue with the window down. But the other doors close window up or down.

Good seals, I have to authoritatively shut my door when all the windows are up.

Neither of my 5th gens even remotely had a problem like this

Pressurized cabin. Body "pressure outlets" are still too new. See if still occurring after a month.

Or cram a months worth of opening/closing in one evening.

I had the same issue in April of 2016 with two of my doors. After 2-3 months of normal use the doors "break-in" seemed to pass and now they function normal. Just my experience.

I was having the same problem with my driver's door when I first got my pro. After a while, it just went away.

My 17 did this a couple times during the first couple months of owning it. Hasnt happened again in the last 2 months.

You need a bigger hammer.

Think I'd wait a while as suggested before some guy at the dealership makes it worse.

I have this issue with my 2014 (one of the back doors), but not with my 2017. It's not a big deal with mine, I shut that door with a little extra effort or it shuts normally with windows open.

The manual says to leave your A/C control in the outside air position as opposed
to recirculate upon exiting the vehicle. See if that makes a difference.
