nope. not at the start, once one of the wheels start to slip i can hear a sound that is similar to ABS engaging. other than that i didnt hear any shuttering moaning noises lol.
one thing that i did notice was that once i was done and putting it back into 2wd it was a real pain to get it out of 4Lo. had to give it a good yank after moving the car back and forth and putting it back into neutral.

I've driven a LC200 with crawl control and its a must have feature for all the 4x4 maniacs! I love it a lot. If I ever decide to buy a 5th gen after they hack those bubble butt tail lights and fish-eye bulging headlights, I'd definitely rock a Trail Edition! No offense, but the 4Rs with skirts look girly.

Crawl control
Why can you not engage crawl control while in Multi Terrain select?

sorry for the late reply.
haha yah, its eagle ridge/westwood/coquitlam area.
its to the right of the big green gate that leads up to eagle ridge. the muddy power line area was fun to drive around in before hydro decided to build a big ass wall infront of it

Hi:
I used my TE extensively this past hunting season in northern Ontario. I had about 900 klm of off roading. Close to half were High 4x4 and terrain was very similar to your pictures. I used the 4 low in very rough road, driving approx 50 klm a day using different level of multi train setting as needed.
I hit the bottom a two times before I realized I better use the damn features. Using the correct setting reduces the bouncing and controlled the speed. The road were washed out and many placed and some submerged not knowing what awaits just below the water level.
I also did use the crawl a few times on washed out roads and driving over fallen trees on roads whish turning and going back was impossible (we did start to carry the chain saw afterword in case we encountered larger loges). The Crawl does make wicket sounds of all kind, but that is considered normal.
All and all. The truck performed very well, as Toyota Truck is expected to do. The only complaint is that I have very squeaky dash (dealer has not been able to rectify so far). The gas millage was also poor, but expected.
Hope this is the info you were looking for.

Every time I put Crawl Control in the lowest setting it is really jerky. I don't know if it is because of the TRD Pro suspension or because I wasnt on a steep enough incline/decline. I will give it another shot going up the steep inclines at Greasy Spoon and see if it works better there.
