The eye witness account supports that hypothesis. From the thread it appears he attempted an axle stall but caught the lip and rolled, which just goes to show that 4Runners are not skateboards.

I wonder if they were able to roll it back over and drive it out of there. The other forum says the A pillar was crushed 8", owch! The witness said he powered out too fast, wonder if the gas pedal got stuck, maybe he can go after Toyota  Should have used crawl control!

No way, I was at Hollister that day and saw that 4runner. I was stoked to see a 5th gen out getting dirty, but he looked like he has never wheeled before. That really sucks. I was hoping he knew what he was doing when i was watching him at the obstacle course, but all he did was just drive around.
