Did you get past the rock crawling section in Sandstone Canyon? I didn't do that with my stock truck but a guy did it in a Jeep Cherokee without even having to disconnect his sway bars. It was impressive.

Them Cherokees are no joke. Aside from the mopar quality control issues, those things are the real deal. I would have that if they weren't so hit and miss on the reliability side.

No, we called it good. I think I could have gotten over it but my cousin didn't want to with his truck. Plus, we had the whole family and my boss doesn't like the big stuff. There were tire tracks on some pretty crazy stuff going through that. That is an impressive rock slide for sure.

Except you spent less! I spent more on a limited and continue to spend more money to make it more like a Trail, haha.

My son and I utilized the New Year's holiday for another run with the new truck. This time we ventured out to Anza Borrego DSP and got a surprise with some snow in Temecula, Warner Springs, and Ranchita on the way out.

Lots of iron sculptures in and around ABDSP

Visited Font's Point at sunset

Casting long shadows at sunrise

This is in Fish Creek (Split Mountain)

This is called the Anticline in Split Mountain

This was a sand wash adjacent to Fish Creek called Loop Wash.

This is in Sandstone Canyon. My parents' Tahoe also was able to squeeze through the fallen rock section.

We hiked to the Wind Caves on the way back (also in Split Mtn).

Cool wind caves along Fish Creek

This is the Borrego Sink. We had to use the locking rear differential to get through some sticky mud just past this picture.

The next day we headed to the Calcite Mine. We tried out the crawl control and it worked superbly but this was as far as I was willing to go. The 4Runner began to teeter on 3 wheels over towards the Palm Slot Canyon below on the left-side and freaked me out. I decided to back up and save this for another day.

The next day we headed to Coyote Canyon. I didn't take any pictures as I was driving but as soon as my "spotter" dad sends me the pics he took, I'll post them here. There were some short rocky sections to get to Sheep Canyon and the 4Runner handled them with ease. Here is a barrel cactus who kindly held my hat.

My son scrambling over some of the huge boulders in Cougar Canyon. Lots of waterfalls here.

Our last night at camp with an almost full moon.

We launched some rockets too.

We woke up early and headed to the Pumpkin Patch. This is along the Arroyo Salado trail.

I was out there in November. Was the first time I'd seen that section that crumbled in sandstone. With the help of a spotter I made it through. Tagged my rear bumper a little on the way back out. I posted pics in this thread, not sure what page it's on though. It would be very tough stock.

Twice I have contacted a seller on cars.com only to have the TRD Pro in Inferno be sold about 24 hours to some one else.

Apparently, buying a 2015 Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro in Inferno is like being a Jedi. You either do, or do not, you do not 'think' about it.
