Patience certainly pays off.. I was in a hurry and wanted a quick solution. The idea of filing is a good one. The hot glue is easily cut with a knife or box cutter. The first time around I neglected to remove the vent covers and the bulb burst because it overheated inside. If the problem pops up again, I'm going to use LED bulbs instead.
Where abouts is West Windsor? I was in the NJ/NY area earlier this week visiting customers in Princeton and Manhattan. I left the driving up to the local taxi/limo/bus drivers this trip.
