06 Headlight wiring

I have an 05 4runner and I got all the parts to do the swap the only thing is that everyone here I guess had DRL's so the plugs fit right in but my truck doesnt have the DRL's and the plugs dont match up. Does anyone know which plug I need to get it to work I was thinking of just tapping into the lights but I still need to get the plug to hook up. My plugs only have two wires and these have three. Thanks

I have an 04 and swiched to 06 headlights. I bought an HID kit with H11 connectors to plug straight to the connector on the low beams, but have 9006 connector adapters so that it fits my OEM wires.

The 2006 lights have 4 plugs from what I remember, low, high, city lights, and turn signal. I bought the wiring harness for this.

I spliced my turn/DRL wires on the bumper to the turn wires on the headlight. As a result, I had turn/DRL on the bottom and top, but after awhile one side the lights would sometimes shut off. I assume I needed some kind of relay?? So I ended up not using my turn wires on the headlight but kept the turn/DRL on the bumper on.

For anyone willing to do this mod I have came up with a solution to the wiring harness I went to the junk yard and searched around different toyota models found a couple with the three plug harness running only two wires then the jackpot toyota celica around 93 has the same plug with three wires. next soder the two light wires together to create a two wire plug just as toyota did with the wire harness. Next you need to order the following from toyota
82998-12430 (qty 4) terminal repair wires
90980-11155 (qty 2) male connector

connect the wires together and you have the connection. I kept the turn signal on the bottom and I used LED's on the top to keep the current draw low with two lights being powered by one light harness.

Mario! Thats awesome. But, I'm confused though. You bought the 06 4runner harness as well, correct? Where did you find the tercel harness? Was it in the headlamp as well? Also on your night shot, do you have DRL's in the top? Do both the top and bottom blinkers work, AND, finally, you have your original bulb in the bottom, but LED's on top, correct?

Thanks!

I found the harness from the tercel in the junkyard they are the blinkers harness just look around you should find plenty of them they have some with just two wires but the three wire one works better. I have LED's all around I got the LED Flasher to avoid worrying about the transistors. As for the lights they are not DRL's I just turned the parking lights on to show how they look. I use just the bottom lights as turn signals I thought it would look tacky with four blinkers and I didnt want to have empty light on the bottom. If you dont put LED's as your turn signals or brake lights then you dont need to worry about transistors or the LED Flasher but I would change the lights on top to LED's because you will be running two lights from a very thin wire and just to never worry about burning the wire use the LED's
