CD/DVD install wiring quirk - help?

I just recently installed an XO Vision XO1930 CD/DVD player into my '04
4Ruuner and noticed a bit of a glitch. Everything operates as should when the lights are not on, but when I turn my lights on, the home screen switches to an all blue "CAM" screen and I lose my video (audio from cd/dvd still plays). I am not able to control any functions when on the "CAM" screen. Possibly a wiring glitch? Any ideas? Thanks!

Recheck your wiring at the rear of the CD player. You probably spliced the illumination wire coming from the vehicle to the reverse cam signal going into your CD deck. When the deck gets a +12v signal on this wire, it switches into camera mode. Normally this wire is connected to the reverse light circuit.

I believe the illumination wire on the adapter harness is orange.
