i hate the flimsy plastic cargo area siding, it gave me storage space but it would always boldge out. well about 4 months ago i had an idea and i put it on paper. i had a bid sub woofer in the cargo area along with my tool box and those both took up lots of room so i figure why not put the sub in the siding to get the big box out of the way. plus the little studs that were supposed to hole up my rear seats wasnt there so... these boxes will support a fairly large person. i cant find the original picture... but i made a model out of card board first
then put that design on wood. when i started to make it out of wood i didnt really want to have an angle in the middle of the face of the box so i desided to bend the ply wood very carfully.
well the hard part was done with i guess. (im not a patiant person...) next i cut the holes for a 6x9 speaker near the seat, and a door for the storage box.
they were having a sale on some fabric at joans in corvallis so i took advantage of it and got lots to cover them up with!!! and then of coarse put all the goodies i have in it.
this is only the completed drivers side. my passenger side one is still awaiting the 10" kicker sub im putting in it. i still need to cut the hole...... anyways... that is about it for now just thought i would share what i have been up to lately.
