anyone have pics of the back of the 3VZE engine?

i have a 95 t4r, and i have a bad leak coming from the back of the engine and i can't quite see where exactly, all i know is that its coming from right above the transmission. if anyone has pics of the back of the engine i'd greatly appreciate it and if anyone has this similar problem, how did u fix it? maybe hoses bad, or bad freeze plug (i hope not...). thank you for reading.

ok, i'm getting closer, i'm looking at pics of the engine and where the leak is, there seems to be an exhaust manifold there i think? it cuts across the engine and attaches at either side of the headers or something. anyone have a pic of the engine without that part on?? can't seem to find one online. also, i think i've narrowed it down to the water bypass outlet and the tubes attached to it... i just want to verify if there is anything else back there that can leak or have coolant running through it. thank you in advance!

My educated guess on the location of your leak would be the radiator fluid bypass tube that's located at the back of the engine.

Mine had a spot that had rusted through (VERY common), and leaked radiator fluid in a way that looked like it was coming from the head gasket.

Here is the part --

Here is where it had rusted through --

Here's the location of the bypass tube at the back of the engine --

Replacing it is -- fun. to make it easier remove the intake manifold.

Hopefully it's this, or better yet - just a heater hose has a leak.

Here's the link that shows part(s), and part numbers for what you need. Your part maybe different than what's in the diagram, but you can get the idea on how it comes off, and goes back on.

DIAGRAM

You will need to remove the intake manifold to get to the part. I would STRONGLY recommend if you are not mechanically inclined (like me) to take it to a Toyota mechanic to do the work.

The manifold gasket should also be replaced - along with all the hoses that connect to the water bypass line. Don't know about you, but I like to make sure and it's fixed right the first time.

Keep us posted!
