I think you're fine, but please be danged sure the sprockets are lined up because I don't want you to eat a valve and blame me
. From the amount of slack in your pic, it looks like your cam sprocket might be rotated off slightly. You'll know you're dead on when you can start from TDC just like you are and take up all that slack on the drivers side just by rotating the crank sprocket a touch clockwise. Obviously having the tensioner in there will help.
