Toyota 4Runner 1st-Gen Paint & Chassis Codes + Brochures
 Here is the chart of color for the US-Spec 4Runner from 1984.5-1989. If you see an error please post it here and I will correct the page and graphic ASAP. You can upload a photo of your car by clicking on the graphic, then clicking on the appropriate camera icon next to your color. If you need me to update the chart please post your model year (or production date), color code and a description or photo of your car. For now this is for US-Spec cars only, I will add other countries in the future.

Uh-oh, there is obviously no color chart on that image... I am having trouble locating the available colors for the 1st-Gen 4Runners!
I need someone to start digging up brochures. I was able to locate the 1984 brochure online... and have these colors for 1984.5/1985: Black 202 Bright Gold ??? Creme 557 Dark Gray 138 Medium Blue ??? Red ??? White 033 Wine Red ??? 1986 Black 202 Dark Gray 138 White 033 1987 Black 202 Dark Gray 138 White 033 1988 Black 202 Brown ??? Dark Gray 138 Lt Blue Metallic ??? Red ??? Silver 147 White ??? 1989 Black 202 Burgandy ??? Dark Gray 138 Lt Blue Metallic ??? Red ??? Silver 147 White ??? Let me know if you find a brochure and I will update the chart and this post. Also, post your 1st-gen 4Runner photo WITH the production date or model year, and the paint code as found on the production plate of the truck. The paint code is a three-character code... hopefully someone can post exactly where this can be found as I don't have a 4Runner handy. If you don't post your year and color code it isn't gonna help -- so please make sure it is complete.

I've been messaging people who are selling the 4Runners on eBay and they are VERY helpful! I just got confirmation that 1985 tan is 557.
Come on guys, throw me your numbers!

Hey guys, I've decided to add brochures to my page. If anyone has a brochure from 85-89 then give me a shout. I'd either like you to scan it and email it to me, or ship it to me so I can scan it and ship it back. Thanks!
