New to the forum, new to 4Runners and new to driving manual.
Here is my 1990 4Runner 4 cyl, 4x4 w/ 22RE I love her so far but I need to replace the starter (I'm pretty sure that it's the starter that's bad but it's going to the mechanic so we are absolutely sure). I really know nothing about cars but I do want to try to replace the starter myself. Could it be that hard? Also some idiot of a previous owner installed circular locks on the doors (you know the ones you can pick with BIC pens). Anyhow, I changed the locks myself and I'm pretty proud of that! I paid $50 for the locks and saved myself a few hundred dollors.

Thanks buddy! $3,700. Probably too much since we've already had the front right axle replaced and part of the exhaust system replaced. Radiator had to be flushed. Has 250k miles w/ 50k on rebuilt engine. And now need (possibley) the starter replaced. I still love it though it's very fun! |

Here is the BEFORE pick...
Here is the AFTER pick... What do you think of my FJ inspired 2nd gen ?? I have been working on it for a couple of months now. I documented part of it here: http://domain-logic.com/4runner/ Solid running truck, but I might swap it to my brother for an enduro bike.
