Rear window stopped working

Hey all,
The rear window just stopped working. No click when I push the button on the consol and the rear key switch doesn't work. I can't seem to find the fuse? Any help would be appreciated.

Rear window is on a ckt brkr, not a fuse. Upper right corner of the fusebox IIRC.

Thanks for the advice. Is this a usual problem or is there something else I should be looking for?

Mine problem was caused by a faulty relay...it is located in front of the left rear tail light and can only be accessed by removing the large rear side panel. I got one at a junk yard for $10.

According to the 1987 FSM, there are two inputs to the "Power Window and Wiper Relay." One input begins at the Battery, runs through an 80A fuse, and then through the circuit breaker to the relay. The other input begins at the battery, runs through a 30A fuse, through the ignition switch, and then through the "ENGINE fuse" before entering the relay.

To rule out the motor itself, run hot and ground wires from the battery directly to the motor to see if it functions. Be careful to only briefly touch the wires to the motor. (I assume your window is stuck in the up position, so you don't want the motor to keep on trying to role the window up...might break something!)

There are several components to check, but the motor itself is the best place to begin.

BTW, use at least a 16Ga lamp cord and not some small gauge wire...be safe!

I agree with everyone else but if it gradually got slower/weaker it may be the window motor. Just happened to me.

Fixed, the safety was not disengaging when I closed the rear door. Cheap and easy fix. Thanks for all the great advice.
