Hey Brian, i am new to the group and really dig all your photos & am a member of the 3rd Gen group you've started. I recently finally have decided to go from stock on my 02 Runner to put on a lift kit to start taking it out wheeling. I've put a lot of consideration into and i was wondering if you had any advice to where i should begin. Or do you know of any legit spots. thanks for any help and your time. -ELI

Quick question. I lowered my spare tire to clean it today and was looking under my 4runner at different things and I noticed a tube that came out right over top of my exhaust tip. It's a pretty big diameter plastic tube, like 0.75" probably. I couldn't tell where it went to though. What does this go to and what does it do?

Hey man. You know a good bit about all the 4wd systems in the 3rd Gens right?

    I had some questions.

I know that all '96-98 have the push button, so when 4wd is engaged power is split equally to the front and rear axles.

Now for the '99-02 "AWD" system, how does that work? The power can't be split equally or they would bind too. Right?

I just don't understand why someone would want the '99-02 system. They say they have 4wd all the time, but it's not true 4wd. Right?
