Well I just got home from the CT4WD official trail run on the legendary Whipsaw Trail. It was everything more than I expected it to be and more. Due to the large amounts of snow still remaining, the trail proved challenging for all of the group, even the solid axle guys with 35+ tires. We are officially the first group of 4x4 trucks to punch through this year. To give you an idea of the difficulty; in the first 2 days, driving 12 hours a day, we traveled a total distance of 20kms. It was an awesome experience despite a few minor setbacks including my alternator crapping out on the first day and one truck getting hydro-locked and having to be towed out by 2 other rigs. The group of great people really pulled together to accomplish what many said we could not due to the snow.... enough words, time for photos!
"Bloo" drove up all the way from Virginia to join us on the trail!! (some of you will recognize him from Expo...) 20110723-IMG_9869 by RickaShay24, on Flickr
The dual battery diesel on 37's that charged up my dead battery several times during the trip! 20110723-IMG_9858 by RickaShay24, on Flickr
