Total Solar Eclipse 2017
So who here lives in the path of totality? Anyone traveling to see it or are you gonna stay home and just catch the partial eclipse? I am contemplating a trip but with it only a few weeks away figured I would see what yall are doing...

I live in the path so I'm staying home.
They think all hell is going to break loose on the roads, so while I'd like to be a little closer to the center, my place is just fine. I'll still have a minute and a half of totality. I took the day off work, I can goof off with cameras without anyone in the way, should be awesome.

Im in NC, so it passes through the western part of it. I plan to drive up to the mountains to see it with a buddy of mines.

Jealous for those of you in the path. Trying to find a route within a day trip I think it'd be pretty cool

Several trips planned (invites) but not sure which group we are traveling with to Wyoming for the weekend. It will be fun either way as it is only a couple of hours away to the center of the path of totality near Casper from Denver.
Wow - "path of totality" sounds like something North Korea is spouting off these days LOL.

Hope you guys who are traveling made reservations REALLY early. Just for fun, I did a Trivago search on hotel rooms in Casper and Idaho Falls. Talk about price gouging!

Dead Center
I am dead center of the path in SC. About 3 minutes of totality estimated where I am.

I'm in Charleston (in the path), but i have a bunch of friends meeting in Columbia, SC (center of the path) at a friend's house to watch it. Not sure if I want to make the drive considering all the predicted traffic congestion... but maybe i'll be going the opposite direction of traffic?
