2017 Secret Santa- Official Wish List Thread

NOTE- This is NOT the 2017 Secret Santa Signup Thread. That thread can be found here 2017 Secret Santa-Official Signup Thread - Signup List Here

This thread is a place for Secret Santa participants to write to Santa. Mention how good you’ve been and a couple specific things that are on your wish list for the Secret Santa here at T4R. This will help your SS find out what you are into aside from your 4runner (which is a given).

Examples: Outdoor products, camping gear, photography, Star Wars, sports, beer, or whatever else you may be into. Everyone has other loves and hobbies- this is intended to help someone pick that gift for SS this year.

Now, the fun part- Since this is a WISH list, include an item that would just be BA. Yeti cooler, ARB locker, whatever. You never know who or what someone is willing to do for others. In the past, members have given gift cards to Toys R Us- it really helped the family out in a big way for their kids, and was better for them than any other gift they could have been given from their SS.

Have fun!

Dear Santa,

I've been very good this year on T4R and not posted any dumb questions to the forum that have been asked a million times; I think that alone effectively means I'm on the nice list.

I spend time outside; camping, hunting, fishing, and shooting are some of my favorite things to do. I have a ridiculous number and knives and fully enjoy collecting them; CRKT and Case are among my favorite brands, as well as Spyderco and Benchmade. I own a number of rifles/shotguns, and lately have started building AR-platform rifles, and always need those parts.

Like any red-blooded American, I adore my adult beverages. I'm very well versed in bourbons and whiskeys. I'm a beer guy too; I'm more partial to darker beers (stouts, porters, etc), and definitely not an IPA fan. I dabble a bit in homebrewing. (See these two pages - https://www.northernbrewer.com/brewi...s/extract-kits and https://www.northernbrewer.com/brewi...er-recipe-kits )

Like everyone else here, I love my 4Runner. My lady refers to it as as the other woman in my life because of how much time I spend on this forum reading about what I can do to it. I've owned it about 5 years, but my mods and additions have been minimal thus far; unfortunately keeping up with its maintenance has kept me from going nuts. Eventually, I'd like to upgrade to an LED package for the interior, add some LED footwell lighting, flush-mount aux lights in the rear bumper, fogs, etc.

Dream gift... Well, Santa, an ARB bumper or a lift package for my 4runner would be nice.

That ought to give you a fair amount of idea potential, Santa

Dear Santa,

I have been especially good this year because I made the great decision to buy my first 4Runner! On top of that, I made the wise choice to join this forum and get the full T4R experience. I put great effort into meeting my 15 post minimum with true posts and not spamming the new member page with one word posts just to bump my numbers up.

I love to golf, camp (see RTT in signature and garage), tailgate during college football, and hunt. I am a huge fan of anything bison, hence the name. Cuts of meat, leather products, books, etc. They are a true American icon with a forever recognizable image.

If you remember my house back in the day Santa, my dad always added a hearty splash of fine whiskey to your egg nog Christmas Eve and he passed that tradition on to me. I love trying whiskeys from different regions and always appreciate a nice one.

Much like you doing all of your own work on the sleigh, I do not trust the elves at oil change facilities and could really use an oil filter wrench, some socket wrenches, and/or a torque wrench for my own use. This would prevent me from asking my friends if I can come over and borrow their tools!

My "dream gift" would be some sort of aftermarket crossbars able to support my roof top tent (103 lbs). It is currently mounted on my factory roof rails, but I would like to rotate the orientation and mount in on crossbars instead. Heck, I would even take some used ones!

Santa!

I greatly appreciate anything sent to me I know people who work in the automotive industry can get great deals for fellow car guys and gals especially this time of year. So anything my Santa can fit their budget I’m grateful for.

About me: I have been married for almost 16 years I have 3 boys 14 years, 13 years & 22 months. 1 daughter 8 years old. I am the manager for a automotive paint and body supply company. I make soft plastic fishing lures and paint crank baits with my oldest son. I also enjoy watching my middle son play hockey and take him to watch hockey games. Generally hanging out around the house with the younger two kids.

Things I like:
Boston Red Sox/ Fenway Park, Winnipeg Jets, Hartford Whalers, Washington State Cougars football, college hockey as a whole

Fishing: I mainly fish for lake trout and panfish. I’d love an Ibobber, i’d like a fly tying vice or fly tying books I been thinking of taking up fly tying.

My 4Runner is a ‘99 Imperial Jade with Oak interior SR5 that I am trying to make into a TRD faux.
My wish list and mod list for the Runner are:
Flush mount rear bumper LED pods, Ditch lights, interior LED’s, tow rope and other things for a recovery bag. Small Light bar for the front. TRD exhaust tip. Floor mats, roof rack even a Walmart one would be a awesome surprise. A rod rack, vault, 5’ loop rope ect. Someway to neatly transport fishing poles. Nerf bars, Keyless entry, smooth center caps for my OEM wheels.
Front license plate: Red Sox, Winnipeg Jets or TRD
Receiver hitch plug: Red Sox or Winnipeg Jets
I do all the general maintenance and washing or detailing on my 4Runner

Toyota things:
General 3rd generation 4Runner things. I like anything with the TRD logo. Toyota dealer license plates and other Toyota dealer advertising, Toyota Truck & 4X4 garage decor, Toyota fishing. Many things off the Team 4Runner store, Toyota patches. Toyota & TRD stickers

I am a fan of my Santa’s regional offerings. Whatever that may be. On another forum I got chocolate candy from my Santa who was living in Austria and another year I got a state flag from my Santa’s home state. Both of those were awesome gifts I really enjoyed.

I don’t drink coffee or much alcohol. I do like a good lemonade and love candy. I also like Smith & Wesson, Waylon Jennings, & good pens. I wear hats but have a small head. Shirt size XL

Hope this helped my Santa if need be. I’m pretty easy to shop for. I look forward to anything I receive. Merry Christmas everyone

Dear Santa,

I've been a giant bag of garbage this year. So I don't expect much

I am 27 and single. I am into old BMWs (e30), dirt biking (KTM), off-roading the 4runner, skiing, shooting (AR, and HK 9mm), and cycling (dirt and road).

I like stickers, as well as posters that can be framed and hung as art.

I'm always keen on used Snap-on tools.

Dream would be a ARB or CBI front bumper for the runner. Something that's dreamy but more reasonable is a light bar.

Anywho, I'm not hard to please.

Dear Santa -

This has been a big year for me, I re-joined the Toyota 4x4 community after 7 years away by trading my mall running Cayenne for a very on/off-road capable 4Runner. While this was spurred by several “360 spin” experiences heading to the ski area last year, and my dogs not fitting in the Cayenne, I can honestly say the trade was also to get back into 4x4's and wrenching/wheeling, as the truck was more than able to handle the snowy trips to ski or Tahoe straight from the dealer.

About me: 50yrs young, married for 26+ yrs with 3 kids (1 girl - 23yrs/2 boys - 20 and 15yrs old) – coming close to being an empty nester, as only our youngest is still home.

Things I like:
Kansas Jayhawk Basketball memorabilia (or other Jayhawk stuff – finished in ‘89 with my BSCE)
Outdoors activities: AVID cyclist (mainly road, but some mtn too), hiking, kayaking, skiing, camping, exploring (on foot, bike or with my truck).
Martial Arts: practicing Kenpo and beginning Shotokan
My Dogs: always had Goldens and now also have a Newfie
Shooting/Firearms and Nice knives
Photography – action sports & wildlife/scenery around Tahoe, shooting a Canon 5D-III and plenty of FAST glass

My 4Runner, “Frosty,” (5th Toyota 4wd and 2nd 4Runner) is a 2017 Super White TRD Pro...and I’m getting close to being done with the build. A couple items I can think of that would be nice are possibly a console vault or one of the OCD organizers for the console. I’m also hoping for a iPad Ram mount, so I can use my iPad for navigation and music. If Santa is feeling overly generous, I know both me and my pups would love any of the cargo netting type barrier to keep them behind the front seats or possibly some of that attic storage space or some camp lighting or something for my 2014 Raptor – but certainly nothing expected. Anything Toyota garage memorabilia too – I LOVE FJ40 Land Cruisers and plan to purchase another this coming summer for my next 4x4 project.

I am a coffee drinker (wife swears I ooze a brown liquid when I get cut) and also enjoy lighter/pale ales and other craft beers. So well insulated mugs, or cool beer glasses, or even local branded glassware is an option. For extra fun nights, I hit the sipping tequila or whiskey. Other ideas could include spicy jerkies (Venison and Beef are favorites, but enjoy gator, bison, and elk too), local favorite sweets (no coconut please – food allergy), or whatever comes to mind – it’s all about giving after all ;-)

I wear a large t-shirt, but prefer a medium club cut or race cut cycling jersey, should Santa want to get something from a local bike shop.

Thanks for thinking of me this year, Santa! Always appreciated and hope I’ve done enough good to get on the “Nice List.” But again - I'm not really looking for much, and would be happy with anything. It's the thought that counts.

Merry Christmas & Happy Hanukkah to all!!!

Dear Santa,

I have been very good this year but it has been a rough one. I am not going truly looking for anything for me but more for my son.

I am a 33 year old male, recently divorced and father to a great 4 year old son. I'm going to leave politics out of this and just say his mother is making out great. I just want him to have a great Christmas. I'm hoping for anything for my son that would make his Christmas better. If I get anything it's a bonus.

He loves cars, trucks and racecars. His favorite toy is an r/c small scale stadium truck. He likes anything related to Disney's Cars. It could be a toy, clothing, bedding etc. He current wears a size 4 toddler if that helps. He also loves dinosaurs and farm equipment.

We also have a 8 year old german short-haired pointer who loves squeaky toys.

As for me I love to be outside. I golf and hike in the summer. I ride road and mountain bikes all year and I ski in the winter. I enjoying camping and tailgating with friends and family and I am a die hard PSU fan, they are not dying hard. If I was to get something that is up to you but this is more for my little guy.

If I could have a dream gift for me it would be a Dometic or ARB fridge/freezer, an ARB compressor or awning.

Happy Holidays

Dear Santa,

I am 31 years young. I have a girlfriend of almost 4 years named Keri, I have 2 dogs...Dennis (Border Collie) and Waldo (Lab). I own my own business in the small town where I am from making Gelato (Italian Ice Cream).

I love food, beer, wine and the great outdoors. I build most of the things that I use. I have a 1996 4runner that I enjoy working on regularly. I brew my own beer, make my own spirits at times and love to bbq trip-tip.

I am a people person and like to visit new places, collect magnets for my fridge in new places where I have visited, I enjoy manual labor in the outdoors whether it is gardening, sawing and splitting oak on my property or mowing the lawn. I also enjoy wood working.

I am a big movie buff and history buff. I like to listen to Audible books while I am on the road which is where I spend a lot of time selling my gelato to other businesses.

Some things that I have been eyeing that I have not yet bought for myself are a roof rack, router bits for wood working, large 1/2" socket set 22mm and up, socket organizer, new windshield wipers for my T4R, new antenna for my radio, always like new shirts (XL), any outdoor wear or outdoor tools, BBQ brush lol...

If Santa wants to go big, I would love a Toytec Boss Suspension 3" lift, my ultimate goal is to go to a LT Kit from TC or Solo Sports.

Dear Santa,

I became an "active" user on the forum this year.

I am 23 years old, and I got married in May of this year to my high school sweetheart and lovely woman of over 6 years.

I'm really enjoying our new 5th Gen, I have a Jeep TJ that is my baby, and I am looking to purchase the new Ram Power Wagon.

I love camping, kayaking, and am starting to get into cooking. I've built a couple of AR-15s and like cool, yet useful, knives. I also dabble in PC gaming a bit. I LOVE dogs and will get a GSD and Lab as soon as we are done saving for a house and have a place for them. My wife loves watching moves or reading books.

I don't drink coffee or soda, and I recently quit drinking beer because I don't want to get fatter.

I wear a large as far as shirts go.

Big items would be the XenonDepot Phillips 4300K HIDs, or SSO Slimline front bumper (Pro, winchline cutout only, bare metal, hoop, 30" Rigid cutout).

Dear Santa,

I'm new to T4R after coming over from TacomaWorld after totaling my Tacoma to get my 4runner ready for over-landing. I am a 22 year old college senior, engaged to the girl I've dated since 9th grade, and an avid computer builder and outdoorsman. I decided to start an overland build after using my friends rooftop tent for a week while my dorm was flooded.

I love anything cars, camping and computers. I first started on cars when my grandfather started showing me around his Supra, Lotus Esprit S4, and 2nd gen. 4runner when I was very young. I'm very simple, and not because of money, but because I i just prefer it. I only wear one specific type of shirts all the time, the Columbia PFG Bonehead fishing shirt (I wear shirts in XL) and I've been wearing the same pair of shorts for over two years now, washing them only twice (it's an accolade in my book, and my fiancée doesn't care anymore). I never buy (or ask for) anything flashy or I don't really need. Everything in my life has to have multiple uses.

What I would like for Christmas (stuff below can even be used, just not used clothes for obvious reasons)-

- Factor 55 HitchLink 2.0 Receiver Shackle

- some Hella or IPF off-road lights

- other stuff like decals, flags, hoodies/shirts, bug/rain deflectors, but ESPECIALLY A LOT OF DECALS for the 4runner.

And Santa, I mean, if this years been good to you, I wouldn't mind getting some dream items like a couple bucks on a gift card to spend at some place like ALL-PRO, Low Range Off-Road, or Cabelas, or maybe CBI type plate rear bumper for my 3rd gen., or even a set of 33s or 34s for my 16" rims. But thats your call.

Dear Santa,

During my short time here on this forum, I have been inspired by many with their awesome builds and thankful to those who have shared their knowledge with others and I have tried my best to return the favor to the newcomers so hopefully I don’t get a bag of coal this year!

As for some ideas, I’m 33 single male. Never married and no kids. Obviously I’m not expecting to get any of the items I am listing off so anything will be greatly appreciated but if Santa is feeling generous, know that it will be greatly appreciated and will be paid forward in the coming years!

Things I like/love

Fishing is life! Anything fishing/ice fishing - freshwater. All species are game except for carp.
-I don’t have any fly fishing gear but could use some!
I enjoy the outdoors and I love camping so any camp essentials would be nice! Already have tempo tusk/jetboil/and this cool camp table.
-Been looking at a RTIC 45 tan cooler or the RTIC 40 soft pack in black. A Dometic Fridge/Freezer would be the ultimate gift if santa is feeling generous.
I’m also a gym rat so workout clothes shirts/tank tops/joggers - no shorts, got plenty of those and no I do not skip leg day!.
-Size large in pants and shirts. Shoe size is 10.5 US.
Anything Denver Broncos or Colorado related.

I also have a female Golden retriever so toys for her would be cool too. Would need to be durable because she is persistent in tearing into them for the squeakers…

Just water and tea.. I don’t drink coffee, alcohol on the rare and special occasions. Although it is rare that I drink, I can appreciate a good Cognac or Whisky that can be shared amongst family and friend.

Anything for the 4Runner obviously. Already have mounts for phone/tablets. Don’t need cables or chargers. My interior/exterior lighting is nearly complete. Just need a 30” baja design amber driving combo for my C4 bumper that should be here any day now! I have most of the bumper accessories in hand already.
-Sackwear Recovery/Overland bag would be pretty cool. Pair of FJ red Maxtraxx, Wilco Hitchgate Solo high clearance, a set C4 sliders DOM tubing with trail steps plates on KDSS or a set of the rare SCS Ray 10s...
But really, I'm a simple guy. Just listing off some big wish list items cause you never know but honestly anything I get will be greatly appreciated. It is the thought that counts and all about spreading the holiday love within this community.

Here is a more budget friendly wish list that I put together with stuff I've been looking at on Amazon. - http://a.co/bHqh15I

Cheers!

2017 Secret Santa- Official Wish List Thread

Dear Santa,

This year I have been trying to be good. I still try to help people as best as I can. I was away from my family for several months being deployed. All I want is something for my kids.

7 y/o boy loves to tinker and fixes things. He’s been getting more interested in camping, electricity and blacksmithing.

5 y/o boy is very artistic loves anything to do with drawing.

2 y/o boy loves to try and work on my truck and tinker.

1 y/o girl, she’s such a sweet little darling. Right now she like to get dressed up and throw her boots on and get muddy and tinker with her brothers. She’s my little bad ass that don’t wants to be girly but kick some ass if she needs to.

If you feel like you want to throw something in for me anything camp kitchen related would be much appreciated or some flood led pods for my ditch lights, nothing expensive 2017 Secret Santa- Official Wish List Thread or a snorkel.

Needed to make an update. But I’m gonna need to get surgery on my shoulder and from what it sounds like it’s gonna be a lengthy and intensive surgery. Anything to help make my life easier would be very appreciated.

Thank you for taking the time to read my letter Santa.

This is a cool idea! Here goes:

I'm 28, married 5 years, have a 2 year old daughter Zoe and Lola our old english sheep dog. I generally love doing anything outdoors.
Lake fishing/stream fly fishing
Off-roading the 4R
Hiking

Of course as the father of a two year old I enjoy beer, amber ales/porters/stouts.

I'm a big Steelers & Penguins fan.

Love any type of 4runner apparel, my hat size is M/L and I wear a medium size shirt.

Recently got back into auto detailing so I love trying new products to protect the family fleet.

Dream item? Yeah, an ARB rear locker.

Merry Christmas!
