UK is awesome and will always be ''better'' but I was very impressed with the US version!

You can't beat the original. It may be just me but I just don't get the same connection with the US TG as I do with the UK presenters. I did enjoy the 16th season of TG and look forward to June or July or whenever their back on.

The US version lacks chemistry between the presenters. I think if they replaced Adam it might be better.

The UK version is one of the best TV shows ever made in my opinion. Not only is the cinematography and production quality world class, but those guys are the perfect complement to each other. I have seen almost every episode..still working through the painful first and second seasons. Lol.

UK all the way. I've tried to give the US version several chances, but the hosts have ZERO charisma and the ideas are just ripoffs of the UK version. You can tell they're just trying way too hard.

Give me Jeremy, Robert and the Stig any day of the week.

Although I don't watch it on a regular basis, I would say that the UK version is better. It should be though. It's been on so long. I think the US version did pretty well for it's first season. I'm not sure if they have the right people hosting it though. Like others have said their relationships just aren't quite right.

UK is definitely better the main reason:

Jeremy Clarkson

But Hammond and May are still better than their US counterparts as well.

edit: I think the US version is too much like all other US car shows and they aren't having nearly as much fun as the UK guys.

My friends who don't care about cars at all enjoy the UK version, but not the US version.

UK hands down. Can't watch the US version. Doesn't come close to stacking up. Clarkson, May, Hammond and...the Stig. Those guys rock.

I must add that I found it interesting that my wife actually enjoyed watching the US version, but she can't stand when I'm watching the UK version (which is pretty frequent... lol)

I second the fact that Jeremy Clarkson makes the UK version, and the fact that May/Hammond are still better than the US guys. The US version is "trying pretty hard" and comes off awkward at times, but it was still very entertaining overall.

I gotta say that I think my favorite UK episodes are the one where I think they're in a jungle (Amazon?) and their cars show up on a boat, and they gotta get themselves outa the jungle. Absolutely awesome episode.

Close in second, was where they had to get from Iraq to Israel in their 3,500 GBP 2-seater sports cars. That was a gooood episode! The challenges and cinematography are incredible!!!! (Hopefully I spelled cinematography correctly....!)

UK, it's much funnier. Gotta love the British English.

The show was great when Tiff Needell was on too.

UK version all the way - particular liked the episode where they ended up setting fire to a camper and the various failed attempts to kill that old Hilux.

The greatest part about the UK show is that it isn't really about cars.

From the intro of the last show:
Quote:
Tonight, Richard wears a blue hat, James wears a different hat, and I wear a hat with things on it.
How can you top that?
