1999 Toyota 4Runner, 200,800 miles. Only selling because I thought I needed a pickup. Interior photos are coming.
Great condition outside, excellent condition inside. Non-smoker, no pets. Very clean machine. This is a cool rig. It’s a classic SUV with a lot of life left in it.
All kinds of 4-wheel drive:
- Rear wheel drive for normal driving.
- Push a button and get AWD (and drive in all conditions).
- Pull back the lever and get 4WD - Hi, for when all 4 wheels must get power.
- Hit neutral, push lever to the right for 4WD - Lo, for when you are crawling through the really deep snow, sand, and anything else.
- Lock the rear differential while in 4WD - Lo, and pull your friend out of the ditch!
Goodyear Duratrac tires with about 70% tread. They are M/S “snowflake” rated, and wearing evenly. They are pleasantly loud on the road, and excellent in the snow.
Bilstein 5100 shocks all around. Tundra TRD coils front, Old Man Emu 906 coils rear.
Well maintained. I have owned this beauty for 6 years, and I’ve done most of the maintenance myself, taking care to use OEM Toyota parts whenever possible. Oil changes with Mobil 1 synthetic since I’ve owned it, every 3000 miles. Genuine Toyota oil filters always. New fluids in both differentials and transfer case this past winter.
Many new parts in the last few years:
- Rear control arm bushings, lower balljoints, tie rod ends, and power steering rack all Genuine Toyota!
- Koyo radiator and Stant thermostat.
- Front and rear brakes using Toyota pads and shoes.
- Starter motor contacts replaced.
- Walker QuietFlow SS exhaust is less than 1 year old and sounds great!
Two major replacements:- Transmission was replaced with a donor with half the mileage, now has about 100K miles.
- Transfer case was replaced last winter with a donor with half the mileage. This unit is super clean, and shifts quickly.
3.4L V6 engine with premium Interstate Mega-Tron battery - 800cca.
External transmission cooler. Bypassed radiator.
Tekonsha trailer brake controller (used once). Class III hitch with 2” receiver. 7-pin and 4-flat harness connector combo.
Full set (front, rear, hatch) of WeatherTech Digital-Fit floor liners. These are sweet!
Limited trim has all the options:
- Sliding moonroof, leather interior.
- A/C, cruise, power windows and hatch glass, locks, and heated mirrors.
- Rear heat with new OEM Toyota rear heater lines.
Stock stereo with new OEM antenna and mast (Tacoma whip - black color).
OEM factory installed security system with transponder keys (2) and fobs.
Will come with some odds and ends parts I've collected over the years. Will include 1" Spidertrax wheel spacers and Daystar 1.5" rear coil spacers (neither are installed currently), for the asking price.
The not so awesome:
Missing left fog light assembly
Drivers seat is torn on the side, could be repaired.
A few dings here and there, a patch of rust on the passenger A-pillar, and passenger side rear bumper - totally repairable...or just leave it.
Something in the driveline is a little loud (whine/drone). Could be rear diff pinion bearing, could be torque converter. It's always been there since I've owned it (6 years), and doesn't seem to affect anything or get worse.
Will get interior photos up this weekend!
